Daytons?
Craigslist post I saw today...
====================================
older rogers drum set,4 piece,bought new in 1967. cymbals,stands. - $700
i bought this drum set new in 1965 from manny's music in nyc,i played jazz and prefered the smaller drums, 18 inch bass drum,with lots of punch,the ride tom is a 12 inch,and theres a 14 inch floor tom, i have two snare drums for an additional 100.00,one is a wooden snare which matches,and the other is a metal snare,both are called dynasonic. i like the metal one better,but the other one does match the other drums, the drums outside all match and there are black swirl. i have not played them in 12 years, they been stored in the house.moving so we need to sell all our larger unused items.all the hardware is included,as well as a ride cymbal, crash,and a set of hi-hats,they are paiste which i liked,i loved them back then.so to clarify if you want all 5 drums my asking price is 700.00, my daughter will come by saturday afternoon she will take some pictures for me.
====================================
I've sent a note to go by and have a look but it sounds like a pretty good deal if they aren't abused.

Re: Daytons?
Sounds like a good deal - I'd go for it. Even if they aren't in perfect condition you could sell parts or use those parts to restore something you have.
Most of the time when the original owner still has the drums they stay in good condition.

Re: Daytons?
If you dont buy those, the drum gods will never smile on you again, you will be forever cursed, your sticks will always break and your heads will go flat. Seriously....... thats one hell of a deal.

Re: Daytons?
Yes! Please buy those drums all of them, even if they're not the sizes you want. I'll help you get the sizes you want, but don't let this great buy get away.
The Ploughman is right, you will regret not buying those drums.
If you need help, let us know.

Re: Daytons?
By the time the guy got my email he'd already sold them. Apparently someone else recognized a good deal too. Let's just hope it was someone who knows what they got.

Re: Daytons?
Those kinds of deals don't last long, you have to jump on them right away.
Sorry you missed them, I hope one of the eBay destroyers of fine instruments didn't get them.

Re: Daytons?
Geeeeeeez. I've been gone two weeks and missed a ton of action. That was a steal.
I've spent more than double that on getting my old blue sparkle Celebrity kit up to snuff, including cases, throne, Powertone, cymbals, various stands and other items.
...And I would kill for the ****tail kit that came and went in a flash.

Re: Daytons?
Value? ........... My guess would be.......... 4500-6500 dollars in very good to excellent shape, based on four things: history as a kit together, color, sizes, and snares.

Re: Daytons?
That's what I'm thinking--right on the nose. And with the dyna, maybe even more like $7,000.
If that poor soul comes to this website and reads this he's going to feel very, very had.
