DynaSonic Wood Shell serial number 21670
I'm new to the forum and have a question.....I'm the original owner of a DynaSonic Wood Shell Snare, serial number 21670. I checked the Rogers web site and I believe it was made in Dayton in 1968. Is this correct? How do I confirm this?
Appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Bill Merz

Re: DynaSonic Wood Shell serial number 21670
Welcome, and thanks for sharing a picture of your Dynasonic.
That's a really nice Dynasonic, in a rare color.
The Rogers 1968 and the 1970 Catalog has that color pearl.
My dating info tells me that it could be a very late 1969 Dayton, OH, but more than likely it is a early 1970 Fullerton, CA drum.
I'd like to see pictures of the inside, no heads, and look at the mounting hardware and shell finish to be sure.
If your checking on your drum for sale purposes, please contact me, I'd be very interested in your Dynasonic (not trying to hit on you, I'm just always looking).
I'm a Rogers Dynasonic collector, here are many of mine:
Thanks,
Bruce

Bill:
You're in good company here. The guys in this forum are experts.
You probably know that your drum is very rare and worth beaucoup bucks. We've seen auctions at $2,000 plus, but then you probably already know this.
Please keep the drum whole. It will thus retain its value.
And for Pete's sake, call your insurance company and put a replacement value on it!

What a gem Bill!! Yes ditto Tommy's comments. ASAP!
Great taste in drums in your early drum buying ages!
