Ok, here we go again.

EEEEEEHHAAAAWWWWW!!! HERE IT IS! 10000 points for me! emoticon emoticon emoticon After looking at the kit for awhile, I discovered that the kick drum hoops were wrong, along with the "T"s and claws. I've since obtained the correct "T"s and claws, and am in the process of straighting the "T"s and polishing the claws, and all the other hardware, and waiting for new heads. When I get all that done I'll post another "after" pic. Thank all of you on the forum for your paitence and help. You are all to be commended for being a bunch of GREAT people!! emoticon emoticon Thanks! olddrummer

Excellent job on the restoration emoticon It seems so strange to see that finish with the rogers script logo but it looks great. Did you spray the rims with lacquer? Good job man emoticon

Wish I could make Woodstickemoticon maybe next year.

Hey Jack. Those hoops are some other brand, the "T"s and claws are all Ludwig. Actually this is the kit just the way it came to me when I bought it. The camera doesn't show it, but the wrap is really old, and beat up. Maby one day I'll rewrap it, but this color has kind of grown on me. I've since got all the right hardware for it and am polishing it now. I'll post another pic when I get it all done. Yeah, it is kinda wierd to see a wrap like this on a Rogers kit. Did ya notice that the pattern of the wrap is very large compared to newer White Satin Flame/Morie? Thank you. emoticon olddrummer

Re: '68 Londoner Kit

Thanks for all the positive comments guy's! I thought I would add a little interesting history I found out about this kit. As I was looking inside the shells I noticed an ink stamp. It was hard to see, but I finally made out what it said, the stamp read as follows; Universial Drum Center, 697 So. Wescott, Pomona, Calif. I got most of the Music store's phone number, but not all. As it turns out on Mapquest, Pomona, Calif is only 19 miles from Fullerton! The other thing I find interesting about the wrap design, and color is that, while looking on youtube.com for who was playing Rogers drums in the mid to late '60s, I ran across an old Beach Boys video. Dennis Wilson, the Beach Boys drummer was sitting behind a Camco kit with the identical wrap as is on my '68 Londoner kit! And, I thought......... Hmmmmmm? Anyway, I thought it was an interesting bit of history. Good mystery's are great. emoticon olddrummer
