No badge on big R tom

Ive never really thought anything of this till now. All the pics ive seen of Big R sets, have the Badge on them with the vent hole. My 12" tom has no badge nor a place for a vent hole. It has the correct mounting stuff though. So is this just a drum that was put on with the rogers hardware, or were some made like this? I think it may be somewhat warped to, heads dont like coming off it.

after further investigation of my tom. There are no reinforcing rings, and it looks like the rogers mount was put on it. So i guess the only thing rogers i do have, is my bass drum. But it does say Rogers USA with a low serial number on it..i guees i got to find a mounted tom and a floor tom for it now.

I think this is an Island import, Elicitdrummer.

well..at least it would still be rogers. didint the imports have vents though to? My bass says Rogers USA with a serial number. This tom, has no holes for vents, and the places that have filler in them, none match up to where a badge would be. Its kind of a bummer finding out that it aint what i thought it was. Just means i have to spend more money on drums...which i dont mind..only if i had it.

Since all i really got is the bass...i guees i can always start restoring it...ive been thinkin about gettin some sparkle wrap for it..or i might leave it how it is..idk. But thanks for the input on this tom. At least i know what it is now, and can still use it, but one day i will have a complete rogers kit...i cant wait.lol

I think what you might have is a Gretsch tom that was drilled for Rogers mount. That looks like a Gretsch muffler.
