Fullerton 3 ply - Rare?
Okay, I've been reading the Cook Book as well as devouring every word written in this forum on a daily basis.
Most everything I read indicates (1) the shells went from 3 to 5 ply shortly before or after the move to Fullerton and (2) the lug inserts went from springs to clips at about the same time.
My 9/72's - butcher block - with a tag design and serial numbers indicating '73/'74 manufacture are 3 ply w/ 3 ply rerings and have springs. Would these be Jasper shells or did Keller make 3 ply for Rogers as well?
