Price on Big R Rogers kit?
I have a 5 piece, black with gray speckled interior Big R kit with an additional Ludwig snare made in 1967 S/N 507686 (looks like a gray foil/marble finish?). I have all the rings and stands. Serial number on the Rogers all chrome snare is D707710. Bass drum s/n D705025. Toms s/n D703756, D705058, D700978. additional ludwig smaller toms, clear plastic? s/n 1841387 and 2028441. 2 zildjian cymbals and hi hat. Finish looks pretty good on everything, just very dusty. The bass drum is a little beat up on the rings. sorry if I don't have the terminology right. thanks for your help!

Re: Price on Big R Rogers kit?
Do you know if the Rogers snare is a Dynasonic, or a Superten? (If it has 5 rings around the middle, it is a Dynasonic).
Anyway, if would estimate the price of just the drums (no snare) at around $350-$450. This assumes that everything is in good order, not heavily scratched or pitted.
A Dynasonic snare adds between $200-$300 in price. A Superten perhaps $150-250. This assumes that the Dynasonic has the bottom snare bridge.
Throw in all the hardware and cymbals and that adds perhaps another $200-$350, depending on the Cymbal type.
So a ballpark figure of perhaps $700-$900.

Re: Price on Big R Rogers kit?
I hope these images show up. My son set it up, so it is probably not set up well. Also, the bottom rings are not on the drums but I have them and the hardware. How do I tell if the snare is a dyna or a superten? I couldn't find anything on there that said...I'll look closer.

Re: Price on Big R Rogers kit?
It appears to be a Dynasonic. I also have black moving cases for everything...are those worth something?
Thanks for all your help!

Re: Price on Big R Rogers kit?
Hard to tell on the interiors but if they are solid grey they would be Dayton, Ohio speckled grey Fullerton, CA. With everything you're including I would say $900 +. Good luck. Offer it here first and maybe one of our members might go for it.

Re: Price on Big R Rogers kit?
Clean and shine them up. Put the bottom hoops back on (buy cheap bottom heads if you must). Mount the 2 toms at a nice angle (note: toms mounted at extreme or weird angles make a set look less desirable).
After all that, get some good pics and offer them for sale here. E-Bay or Craigslist are also options.
The market is very tight right now, so it may take some months to get your asking price.
