Claw description
Rising Tide is a band of brigands made up of displaced enemies of Rome. Latins, Celts, Greeks Turks, whoever the Romans have subdued, some stubborn members of that societyjust wouldnt accept defeat and submit to Roman law.They have banded together to fight a new kind of war. Wizened by their previous attempts to defy the Romans in straight fights, They have not targeted the formidable and expendable leagions of Rome, but instead they now strike at the empire's lifeblood, trade. Wandering the Balkan Penninsula the Rising Tide hit the lightly armed merchant convoys passing through the countryside. The raiders show the merchants all the mercy and honor Sulla showed the Latins in the Social War. With the proceeds of their brigandry, the Rising Tide enlist the aid of mercenaries, thereby increasing the effectiveness of their band. When their numbers swell large enough, the Rising Tideraid one of the many border garrisons holding romes enemies at bay. The raiders bear light equipment, the better to carryout the swift raids on the poorly defended convoys and subsequently melt away. Thus, without ever coming in direct confrontation with the enemy, the Rising Tide see themselves as contributing to the rising tide of entropy against which even the might of Rome itself cannot long stand.
