Spears
I've heard that flag poles are the best things to make them with... I found a site that carries them (http://www.swbandproducts.com/store/product.php?productid=16328&cat=391&page=1) but I'm not sure if that's exactly what I'm looking for. Also not sure how I would go about removing those hook rings.
If it is, awesome, otherwise, if someone could please show me another option for one, that'd be great.

i believe the ones we use are called bandshoppe poles. ill ask around and find a web address.
