PVC cross guards

are they allowed? I don't remember seeing any ever. If pvc cross guards are legal, than what are the rules for them? I'm making a new blue and I'd like to have a T type guard about 2-3 inches on each side. Obviously I would put a 'pommel' on each new exposed pvc end, but is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Re: PVC cross guards

they need to pass the size rules. that is they cant poke more than half inch through a 2 inch hole i think. so it would need to be thick and the whole thing would need to be padded as a courtesy surface.

crossgurads arent terribly effective in dagorhir and there is a simple way to do them out of just foam. they look good. with hands on weapon already being a no go shot theirs little need for a cross guard, except for ornamentation. and the foam ones do that well.
