usually our battles are in philly and they are once a month.
i think you are closer to tartarus invictus, in new york city. id try looking into them on the dagorhir locations page.
you can definately form your own unit if a bunch of your friends are into the game and you have a good theme in mind.
or if your alone you could merc for a while with taurendor or tartarus and try and find a unit that works with you. and if none present themselves for a new unit.
units are pretty much deregulated.
and now for a bit of shameless self promotion. the Rogin have a program for helping along people who have the drive and ideas for a unit but not enough manpower. we call these sub units Claws. as of right now we only have one, the Rising tide based out of Souderton PA. abetter description can be found on the claw page of the website.
Have you got any character or weaponry ideas in mind?

Yes I am a Scottish highlander that was banished from my kingdom because my father once was the king of Scotland and I was the heir to the throne but then my cousins who worked for the English assassinated my father and took the crown and banished me. So I came down from the Scottish highlands to fight for the Rogin Tribe and once I am ready I shall attack the king and reclaim my kingdom...
That’s my background info and my characters name is Bothain and weapon of choice one handed sword bow and arrow and flails
