This is my 2 1/2 yr old... Tortibaby Meow. She's the princess of the house and is definitely the one to rule it.

As we can tell, both are on my king size bed and she takes up the most room.

I have another cat, Tortibaby Treo Mau (smaller one). She's also a Tortishell and she thinks she on the fast track to rule the house (but that won't happen). She's also the litte one that has the urinary problems (she's only 7 months old and has a history of crystals in her urine). Canned food and scooping/cleaning regularly has helped TREMENDOUSLY. She only seems to have an accident about once every 3 months (and ALWAYS on my clothing!!), but then she goes on a round of pain medication and she's fine.

My tortie is quite a princess too; I have heard that is common attitude with torites, lol! But at the same time, she is such a sweetheart too!

With all the Torties we see, almost all are just outright nasty to us. We take it all in stride b/c we feel that once a tortie has ha a dose of anesthetic (for a spay or other procedure), it changes their mentality to becoming vicious and mean. It's funny b/c Treo (the baby) is the most affectionate cat I've met. And her motor!!! It never stops!! But boy, you just barely touch her back in the wrong way and she's biting you and not letting go! It's like her back hurts her so much that she becomes terror. We've X-rayed her back, examined her all over and cannot find anything physically wrong. She goes back in about 3 months to be re-Xrayed to see if a spot on the film was just a spot, or something congenital. The docs don't feel it is, but the spot happens to be in the area she cries out about.
