Alternative auction site - Just for the New Zealanders!
Hi fellow kiwis,
There is a NZ on line company called Out to Play where you can order SF items on line. They carry a good range of the items available in NZ. They charge on average around $6.50 to courier small items e.g. ornate toilet.
GUESS WHAT???? I was trolling around the auction sites looking for Fairy Winkles and I found Out to Play on ZILLION and they don't charge shipping on Buy Now prices!!!!! Their Buy Now prices are the sames as retail????? So if I were to buy the ornate toilet on their website it would cost $16.50 NZ all up. If I Buy Now on Zillion I get it for $10!!!!! AND I save the petrol getting to the toystore and the disappointment if they are not carrying what I want!!! Which is EXACTLY what happened when I went looking for the toilet.

Thanks Kd, I will have to go shopping! How may Kiwi Addicts are there out there? We had our local Toyworld Club night last night and I bought the new Caravan and the beauty sets to go with my JP Salon. The JP sets I got to go with it cost such a fortune that I never opened them - just for drooling! Take care

WOW! Club nights? That sounds interesting. WHere is yours and I wonder if other stores hold them. I'll ask the next time I am in there.
I think one of the moderators from this site is a Kiwi and from Auckland. I am unsure how many others are lurking out there. Chrissie from south of Christchurch was on the old Ezine but I don't know if she has joined up here or not. Perhaps now is an opportunity for all Kiwis to stop sculking in the dark and to come into the light and declare themselves!!!

I know Cathy18 and Trinity888 (aka Donna) are from near me. I think Donna is taking a break for a bit and I emailed Cathy the other day as I didnt see her on Club night, shes still going strong but is busy with work. Its such a bummer that earning money should interfere with the important stuff!
As for club nights it is a Toyworld thing but now Thos Holdsons has got onboard. I know some Chch stores are in on it as Cathy joined down there as well as up here. Its really just a way of showing off the new stuff and specialing off the retired lines to make way for the new. At the moment they have the Truffles and the Wildwood families for 19.99 and the Ballet set for 16.99 and the Luxury bedroom for 24.99 (I think). You also get 25% off all SF stuff you buy and pay for on the night, there is usually a draw for a building and the Holdsons Rep has babies for giveaways. This time I got a crawling baby Slydale and a crawling baby Timbertop. anyhow its nice to catch up with other SFF's (Sylvanian Families Freaks as my husband loves to call me).

That's what my dad calls us!!! Freaks!!! he can't believe the prices people pay for some of the rare figures I have sold. I don't tell him too much about what I pay!!! My partner just looks at me with patient, loving, resignation like he knows it is a disease I have that it's not even worth discussing looking for a cure for. Hahahaha! The club nights just sound TOO irresistible. I am going to have to do out this very weekend and ask!!!

If you add Peagles and Sylvaniankiwi to the list of NZ'ers we make up at least 4% of the populace here. I think that means there may be a higher proportion of nutters in NZ. Although the 4% statistic is open to allsorts of interpretations as all statistics are!

What does that make Porirua? There are three of us here in one very small city....However I think your husband is right it really is a disease a bit like a gambling addiction or the like. Its compulsive and often without reason, I frequently find myself saying I "need" this or that. Tell you what though by messaging I am able to get my SF fix without spending a cent so its starting to work.
