No revolution there - think Badr Brigade versus the Mahdi Army - different strains of shia islam fighting each other - they all hate us anyway.

Not very. He was driven by the desire for conquest. Mousavi is not a pro-western reformer. Back in the day he worked with Hezbollah in Lebanon and the U.S. considered him a terrorist.

Most Muslims probably don't give much thought to imitating a camel riding merchant and warlord. If they hate us it is because they are convinced we are evil.
