"‘Tonight, in the city of David, a Savior is born, 'tis Christ the Lord.'"

"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church, which is, of course, quite a different thing."
-Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
Placating terrorists, meeting with dictators, compassion for murderers... but no humanity for the unborn... incredible.

OK FOLKS......

The forum has been lacking that flare it had when it was first created. What is missing?

Re: Does anyone want to make this board viable?

I have put forth some effort the last couple of months inviting people to join this board and trying to get some threads started. No one who has visited here has felt compelled to really contribute. This board is almost completely dead. There are no discussions, no debates, and almost no involvement even from the people who visit regularly. What gives?

I know that you are holding back Tony. I don't know why. What does everyone want?

I don't know. Maybe this forum has gone as far as it can go?

No one who has visited here has felt compelled to really contribute.

And what does that say about the forum?

More time! emoticon LOL! Seriously, though, I have been feeling like I'm drowning here at home. Between 4 children, all of whom are either mostly or completely dependent upon me, and a cop's schedule, there just hasn't been much time for me to contribute to lengthy board discussions. I miss it very much, and I feel bad that I haven't been able to offer more. But, when I look at the bazillion things that need doing around here, I feel even worse. emoticon

In fact, I have been seriously contemplating taking a computer break for the month of January, a New Year's resolution of sorts, to try to get things straightened out around here. I've been playing catch-up since July when Lauren was born and so far I'm losing by a large margin.

I hope that everyone had a very blessed and wonderful Christmas. Needless to say, ours was crazy, but we had a wonderful time. We went to St. Francis de Sales for Christmas Mass because they had a 10:00 and St. Mary's where I usually go only had a 9:00, which we knew we'd never make with 4 children on Christmas morning. Fr. Lenhardt gave the most beautiful sermon.

I certainly hope we can keep this board going. I can't remember when I last visited IMDB and have no intentions of doing so again, so this is the only place I have to go. I know that I have been largely absent the past 5 months since Lauren was born, but it is just nice to know you all are here when I am able to contribute. If there were only two of me to go around, or as Joey would say, "If you had 8 hands, mom..." emoticon

Well Michael , I am trying to start meaningful debates with the news I post here - but people seem to have lost their inner fire - they are not interested in tendencies and problems far away , until the crisis is on their doorsteps .

Natalie , are you a cop btw ?

Happy New Year to you all emoticon

LOL! No, my husband is. I'd make a terrible cop. emoticon

A very happy New Year to you, my friends! May God bless you all in 2007.

If you don't see me for a little while, fear not, I will be back. emoticon And you can always drop me a PM or an email, too.
