Re: Adopting haha, I had a hard enough time making my home cat friendly. I hope you have your baby soon and I will continue to pray. A trip to China would be awesome in itself, but I'm sure you will be too busy and preoccupied to be tourists when you are there. Hopefully you can take her or him back there someday to visit the "old country". Take care, Tony, may everything go smoothly for you!
Re: Adopting OK, all the paper work has been finalized and over nighted to the adoption agency. They will do a final check and off the documents go to China!!
Now the real wait begins. All we are now waiting for is the call to say that we have been matched with our daughter!!

Well there a few reasons why. China has population control and parents can only have 2 children. And males are favored among the Chineese because they grow up and take care of the family. So baby girls are being abandoned in favor of having a boy.
We are going to give a home to one of those abandon baby girls.
We knew we could never adopt from America because the birth parents have 2-5 years to change their mind and insist on having their baby back. Can you imagine caring and loving a baby only to have to give him or her back to the birth mother?

Re: Adopting This is good news, Tony. I knew a guy who worked for awhile in China. He told me there was a line all day at the U.S. Consulate of American couples adopting Chinese babies. Will you have to go to China to get your new daughter?
I have only traveled to the far east twice; both times to Japan; and both times it was 24 hours before I finally got to my destination. It's miserable. I would suggest staying off of any American carrier and trying a good Asian one if possible, especially Singapore Air. The service is much better.
