SHJIHM :: Christian Pub :: The Stoning of Soraya M. ~ Runboard
"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church, which is, of course, quite a different thing." -Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
Placating terrorists, meeting with dictators, compassion for murderers... but no humanity for the unborn... incredible.

Re: The Stoning of Soraya M. The main problem is Turkey - once it turns into the new Otoman Empire Europe will be under siege ( again ) , Israel will vanish and the oil will no longer flow. I have a place in the front seat to see all that. The retreat from Iraq/Afghanistan is an unfortunate sidenote that accelerates your decay - but the future racial war inside US is the root of the problem - the coup de grace of the western world. China will have to deal with the muslims as well - Russia is already busy as always in Central Asia. Fortunately China is strong today - if not the muslims would have had a chance to take over.
Re: The Stoning of Soraya M. Right now there is a U.S./Israel/Turkey alliance that dominates the Middle East. It makes the U.S. no friend of Christians in the area but on the other hand, the Ottomans are not likely to invade Eastern Europe either.
Re: The Stoning of Soraya M. Europeans do not have a natural affinity for Turkey so a waning of U.S. power might actually result in Turkey being less of a long term threat for the region once they act in their own interest and stop doing what America tells them to do.
Re: The Stoning of Soraya M. They already do and the USA is not standing in their way. Remember, it is the USA that is pushing for EU inclusion of Turkey. It was the USA that drove NATO to support the Kosovars against the Serbs.
Re: The Stoning of Soraya M. The ethnic cleansing of the West Bank and Jerusalem is entering its final phases. There is not Caliphate. There are spheres of influence within the Middle East with no clear center or leader. Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt are not threats to Israel now. Unless Turkey's government falls their orientation won't change.
New light has been shed on Turkish intelligence operations in the United States after recent testimony by Sibel Edmonds. Edmonds was an FBI Turkish and Farsi translator who lost her job seven years ago after reporting extreme incompetence and espionage at her unit in Washington. Previous allegations centered on high-level penetrations of the Department of State and the Pentagon, as well as the illegal acquisition and sale of nuclear weapons technologies to bidders from the Middle East. The Israeli, Pakistani and Saudi secret services were also supposedly involved in the secrets-trading ring.
Now Edmonds has spoken further on Turkey’s espionage efforts in Washington, with particular focus on Ankara’s leveraging corruption in US Congress. In addition to its legal activities, the Turkish lobby in the United States acts as a vehicle for covert action and influence campaigns. Anyone with familiarity with AIPAC and the Jane Harmon affair won’t be terribly surprised by this; Edmonds also asserts that from 1996 to 1998 AIPAC and JINSA taught the Turks the rules of the game (and how to circumvent them). Turkish intelligence wasn’t shy about exploiting politicians’ greed or sexual deviations for recruitment purposes. The translator-turned-whistleblower even details one such “honey trap” in which Turkish operatives bugged the home of a married US congresswoman- just in time to record a lesbian affair between her and a Turkish agent.
Aside from other tawdry details, Edmonds also speaks about the complex networks used for laundering money derived from intelligence or criminal activities into campaign funds or representatives’ personal accounts. The Turks represent just one of many foreign powers spying on and cultivating the Washington establishment to meet business and geopolitical objectives, but Edmonds’ revelations show just how aggressively and energetically they go about it.
Re: The Stoning of Soraya M. I'm not speaking about the weak muslim states around Israel - I'm speaking about the Iran connection - Hizbullah and Hamas. I'm also speaking about the growing percentage of arabs inside Israel - like the latinos, they are good at reproducing. It will be a slow painful death.
