SHJIHM :: Catholic Discussions :: Will this lie never die? ~ Runboard
"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church, which is, of course, quite a different thing." -Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
Placating terrorists, meeting with dictators, compassion for murderers... but no humanity for the unborn... incredible.
OOT
Will this lie never die? Yep, you guessed it, from Crunchy Con:
quote:
I wouldn't look too hard to the Church for guidance involving matters pertaining to the Holocaust. The Pope at the time was certainly content to still idly by whilst untold numbers of Jews died on his watch.
Re: Will this lie never die? It's tempting, isn't it?
Actually, I don't know if I should even keep reading there. It's so scary it's depressing. How about this little piece of wisdom, for example:
quote:
This is a demonstration of how overheated and unhelpful the rhetoric surrounding abortion is. You go from "Abortion is Murder!" to "The slaying of Dr. Tiller is like the slaying of Dr. King."
Both are so far off the mark as to defy rational discussion.
Uh...if abortion isn't murder, what are us pro-lifers blathering on about? The latter I obviously agree with.
But it's kind of like passing a car wreck, ya know?
