"‘Tonight, in the city of David, a Savior is born, 'tis Christ the Lord.'"

"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church, which is, of course, quite a different thing."
-Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
Placating terrorists, meeting with dictators, compassion for murderers... but no humanity for the unborn... incredible.

Star Trek

Now I know why we haven't heard from Tony in awhile. He saw the new Star Trek movie when it came out and has been emotionally traumatized ever since. emoticon

Re: Star Trek

The movie is wrong in so many ways - the interior of the romulan ship looks like a LOTR cave, and the interior of the Enterprise looks like the boiler room - complete with water turbine emoticon

LOL. I thought the same thing. The interior of the Romulan ship reminded me of Moria. But when I saw the engineering section I thought it looked like a beer brewery.

Re: Star Trek

Thankfully, I had no plans to spend my time or money on this movie. (Although, I admit that's rare anyway.) Not that I was a "Trekkie" exactly, although I used to enjoy The Next Generation. I'm sorry it sucked. If it's any consolation, my husband rented "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" to watch while he was working secondary the other night. Someone had told him it was really funny. He told me, "Well, that was 2 hours of my life I will never get back." emoticon

Re: Star Trek

I really had not planned to see it at all but I had a particularly bad Saturday and wanted to take my mind off things. I thought this might make decent escapist fare. I was so wrong. Not just 2 hours but ten dollars I can't get back.
