solar vengeance v1.0 (full product)
when did the silicon commander site die? and also i noticed that there was a link to a full version of solar vengeance 2 on his site ages ago but not one for v1.0 and as such tried sending the author a email about getting a copy but the email provided on the site at the time didn't work at all... i kept getting a response from hotmail saying that it couldn't send to the address specified...
yes this IS multiple paragraphs 
so after about 2/3 years of looking for a retail copy of this game (which i assume is now freeware since he released v2.0 as freeware...) i had another look at what wikipedia says and found the site to no longer function and have found a forum for me to ask its members if any of them have a retail copy of the game and if they would kindly share it with me...
i do not wish to become part of this forums community and i have souly signed up to get a copy of what i seek... sorry if i annoy this community.

As far as I understand, SV1.0 is strictly worse than SV2.0, so don't bother with it.

if i thought it was then i wouldnt be after it now would i? i got the demo of v1.0 on cd but i can only play 30 turns and cant load games...
is there any way to register it?

i've played solar vengeance v2.0 and do not like the new grid appearence nor do i like the newly added ships... we (my brother/sister and i)have much more thoroughly enjoyed v1.0 which is why im so desperate to get a full copy of it...

yeah, i think i enjoyed SV 1.0 much better than the second version. that was a few years back, though. if i remember right, someone had them on their website along with all four versions of winwar.

nope i cant find any sites with even a demo of v1.0 on them... theres lots a crack sites listing it but the site itself is for something completely different.

so no one at all has v1.0? or knowledge on cracking the demo of it? demo lets you play for 30 turns then it forces you to quit... i would have looked at using cheat-o-matic 0.99a to keep the turn counter at 1..... but that program doesnt work under windows nt compliant OS.

After he up-loads the demo to his website, I'll download it and take a look at it. I don't know what Language it was written in, but if it's Visual Basic (Like SV V2.0) I might be able to do something with it.

The file download gets to about 96%, then locks-up. I've tride no less than 6 times with the same result.
