Good News! Army Battlefront game is finally making progress in multiplayer!

I owe glitch a big thanks for developing a prismconnection feature that I really need to get this game runnung!

I have already got the map loading correctly on the Host side, so now I'm going to get the map loaded and working on the client side. I have fixed a bunch of potential bugs in the multiplayer game management form.

So now this game is getting close to completion as I only need to integrate some data commands to change the data for a unit, but first, I need to get the client's map loaded and I should be ready to test the best part!

Update 6:35pm:
I have successfully got the map to show up on all the other players now and with the correct forces too. Also got the basis of an autosave system up and running.

Now to get the turn system working for all players..

I got the turn system working correctly and i'm now testing the data transfer infrastructure that allows changes to be reflected in other players windows.

So far, I can move and attack units, but I still need to get the orders through and of course make sure the air strike algorithm works the same on both sides..

Adding the data transfer infrastructure was suprisingly easy as I already planned for this earlier in the game development.. I might be done by the end of the week if nothing bad happens..

Update 8:03pm:
Here is a screenshot of Player 1 and Player 2 (t1 and t2) dueling it out over a broken bridge!

I'm now testing to see if the orders work.

Update 1:08am:
I have finally killed that bug that plagued the turn system of the game. Also I got most of teh required stuff for multiplayer done just that I found a few more bugs that I need to fix..

I got through an entire round in multiplayer for the first time! It did not fully work, but I finished a game at least. Later, I will complete the multipler system and after some extra things, I should be able to release this game..

Ok, I have got the scoring system working correctly now! I have got the multiplayer fully functioning as I can now play full multiplayer games.

I have also added a score display at the bottom of the player's screen and the ability for a player to surrender during the game.. I can't wait to get this game out here!

I still need to load the autosaved save game file and need to imclude some game options like sound and music controls.. I also need the server to receive a custom command for adding a game into the game log. Also I need to have the game delete the temorary multiplayer save game if the player won or lost the game.
