Glad to see everyone is still alive.

I got curious about what was going on with all my Silicon Commader busies from way back when I was still a player. I see that Glitch has somewhat abondoned you guys, I saw him give a lecture back in Fort lauderdale in 06, and I can imagine that things are quite busy for him.

IU remeber how to set up prism server, and can help anyone who wants to set it up on a dedicated server. my email is salitica@gmail.com

talk at yas guys later.

I had a prismserver running for a while, and it fell out of use -- so now I put it up by request. I think as much as we all love SCG, the novelty wore out after a little while of it being up.

I saw that. Lack of interest primarily because the brains behind the outfit decided to quit, and not tell anyone, I would call him a sell out, but hey that paycheck must be nice.

I am interested in giving the game a new home, but getting in contact with the copywrite holder is rather difficult, maybe I should attend one of his seminars.

in any event, I always enjoyed the games and prism server is a great way to look at MMPRPGs on the net for the first time so that one does not get overwhelmed.

Yeah. I'd even be wiling to buy the regular copy of prism server, so we could have something dedicated where the scheduling feature and such worked properly (the free edition works nicely for connecting and playing but you can't fill out a schedule or contact details or anything) -- but even to buy, you can't get ahold of the guy.

not really, i only tried to contact him once, and got his voice mail. hew is giving a seminar in san diego on the 22nd, demonstrating wealth lab from the looks of it. But alas I am in San Francisco, and can't really be there for the 22nd.

We might as a community try to convince Dion to give us the games and try and develop them further ourselves, he ain't making money off them.

Thank you for attending my presentation in Ft. Lauderdale, Salitica! I would have liked to talk afterward but had no idea you where there.

I am willing to give the full source of PrismServer to any interested party, but I am quite busy and cannot spend a significant time guiding anyone through the code.

I would rather focus some time on the new versions of PrismServer and TurboSprite .NET that are actually already completed, I just never released them. I plan to release them as Open Source, and use them as the basis of a conversion of SV to .Net. Brains and Scenarios will be .Net assemblies that can be written in Visual Studio using any .Net language. Performance of the AI overall should also be radically faster once this new architecture is in place.
