Catcher and Kimberly strode into the hallway and he promptly led her over to where the other fledgling lawyers were standing and sitting. Catch let go ov her arm so he could move on to where Mary and her officers were waiting for him. Kimberly nearly stumbled after the loss of impact of his arm upon hers. While he had led her to this cavernous room that she was in, they had developed a rather companionable silence that hadn't needed words to break. they had both been in their own thoughts, not really needing to talk out their thoughts. Occasionally, a stolen glance from either of them had them looking at eachother at nearly the same times. Both had chuckled them off, and nothing more had been said about it. they both liked the silence better than incessant chatter anyway.
I do hope he didn't feel my nervousness and distress. O now he must think me a weirdo for wanting to watch the sunrise instead of getting to a job offer quickly. but, i dont need his opinion of me, why do i care so freakin much? Kimberly didn't really want to ponder her thoughts any longer than she had to, so she really wanted to get around to doing this, whatever it was.
Mary came and walked over halfway to Catch as she saw him approach. "O Catch, thank you thank you thank you! I do believe you've saved the day. We had dispaired of getting on with the photo shoot and the interviews."
"Mary, this is a photoshoot as well? So, I don't need my picture take right?"
"Catch, why all this nervousness? You've had your picture taken more times than I can even attempt count. So why are you worried now? And you must have your picture taken, you know that the readers actually read our magazine of there's a shot of you on the front." Mary had a hunch why he was so jumpy and nervous, but was almost certain that Catcher wouldn't appreciate her sharing it.
"Well, you know, I uh..." Catch himself didn't want to tell Mary why he didn't want his picture taken.If he was absolutely truthful to himself, he had no definite idea, jsut that it had to do with Kimber. Resignedly he said to Mary,"Fine, fine, I'll have my my picture taken, just not with any of those lawyers.
"Great! And you know, some of those lawyers are actually quite nice, except for maybe Gloria." She pointed out to him a lovely red head whose looks evidently could be decieving. Mary continued on, "You should stay away from her, she'll sink her teeth into you with not a by-your-leave. You might have to have your picture taken with some of the lawyers, I'm not sure about all the details, just that our boss man wanted to have your piccie on the cover of next week's issue."
"I can deal with that, I guess. But it doesn't really look like I'll have a choice, does it?" He smiled slightly.
"No, sorry Catch it doesn't. Hey I've got to go over to the photoographer, and tell him we want a lot of pictures of Kimberly. She'll get everybody interested."
No doubt about that, she got me interested."Why do you want a lot of pictures of Kimber?"
"Well, as I showed you, Gloris was gorgeous, but of the fake kind. 'Kimber' as you call her, she's the natural beauty, the face of young American women everywhere. She could be your neighbor, or a checker at your local grocery store. the point is, the readers will identify with her, enjoy reading about her, and most epescially, enjoy seeing her."
Mary never ceases to amaze me. She had this all thought out. No wonder she wanted to have Kimber found quickly. And she always has looked out for me, sort of like a second mother I never had. "Alrighty Mary, I get it, now, do you want me to start teh interviews now?"
"Sure, start with Mark, he'll be somewaht boring, but maybe a tad interesting too."
"Right on it. When do we get a break, for lunch you know?"
"Whenever I call for it. Good with you?"
Catch smiled, "Good with me, talk to you later."
As Catch walked off, he groaned. A boring interview. Is she trying to make me go to sleep? All I want to do is go out to dinner with Kimberly. And the way my luck is going, she'll be last to interview too. Sometimes life just ain't fair.

Last question. Please Gloria... no tempting answers."Are you in a relationship rght now, or are you one of the many single women out there?" But alas, Gloria had not heard his silent plea, and went ahead and gave an extremely not subtle hint about how she wasn't in a relationship right now, but was still looking for the perfect catch. As if he hadn't heard that line a million times.
"okay Gloria, you're done, now we all have to wait for your colleague Kimberly to finish having her pictures taken."
"Okay one, she isn't my 'colleague'. I don't admit to working with her. And I'm sure she wont make it here. The law circle isn't for country bumpkins like her."
She forgot her second reason, and she thinks Kimber is a 'country bumpkin'? Wow, somebody needs a reality check. Catch ignored her, and focused his attention on to the frenzy going on at the photo area. Evidently, Kimberly had caused quite a stir. She was trying to get away to get her interview done, but the photo shoot director was having none of it. He chuckled to himself as Kimberly won her round, successfully heading over to him to get her interview taken.
O, this should be fun. he thought with real anticipation for the first time that day. He couldn't wait for what Kimber would give him in her interview.
