Beautiful Disaster: Chapter 03
Title: Beautiful Disaster
Rating: Currently PG-13
Fan Subject: Hayden Christensen
Characters: Hayden Christensen, Madison Murphy {original character}, Orlando Bloom, Natalie Portman, Dhani Harrison....
Current Chapters: 03
Tagline: Live for the moment. Risk it all. Take a chance... but NEVER fall in love.
NOTE: I have to admit, this chapter provided a bit difficult, considered I'd developed writer's block THREE times {if not more} with it. Basically, this Chapter revolves around the introduction of some new characters, so there really isn't ALOT of Hayden/Madi interaction. If it seems lame, I'm sorry... just know that I tried.
Chapter 03: Getting To Know You
The horizon grew peaceful and the waves crashed against the shore in harmony, as Madison found herself intwined in yet another lasting conversation with the man she couldn't stop thinking about since they met. He'd look over, then quickly turn away every so often, which she thought was adoreable. She couldn't help it, he was cute. God, was he cute. Seated only inches apart against the sandline with their feet dug into the wet material, Hayden broke the silence between them when he noticed her tears.
"I'm sorry. I'll leave..." moving back, he spoke faintly, nearly rushing to higher ground.
She softly placed her hand on his strong arm and whispered, "No. You don't have to."
"If you don't mind me asking..." he stopped, wondering whether or not he should ask. "Why are you crying?"
"It's a girl thing, you know." she forced a laugh. "But I have to admit... your the FIRST to, ummm... every see my like this." she added, using the palm of her hand to wipe her eyes dry.
"Really now?" he questioned, light and distant, looking away and out at the water again. "The only time I've ever seen a girl cry... well, I was on the recieving end of the cause. Always. I never knew quite what to say, considering how different a girl reacts to emotion than a guy. So, 'I'm sorry' was my frequent line."
"You sound like quite the heartbreaker." she joked sweetly.
"I guess... you could call it that." blushing slightly, he shyed away from her gaze. "So, you know... I never did get your name." he tried to make an attempt for a change of subject.
"Madison Murphy."
"Madison, hmmm?" he shot her a thoughtful glare. "Pretty name."
"If you think so," she rolled her eyes. "Ya know, for such a HUGE celeberty... you seem TOO bored. Don't you have events to go to? Friends to party it up with?"
"Actually..." he haulted before he even began, his attention being called upon by the recent arrival of the trio. "I have friends coming to stay for a few weeks." he answered, standing up and brushing himself off.
"Celeberty friends?" she wondered, her curiousity suddenly piqued.
"Yeah. Three of them. Their over there..." he pointed as she stood up with him. "One was a co-star of mine in the Star Wars prequels, and the others are friends made outside of work."
"Natalie Portman, huh?" she looked up with a smile. He frowned a bit, mildly disappointed at the memory that she never recognized him, but she obviously knew the others. "She's pretty. And an amazing actress. I loved her in that movie... ooooh, what was it called? OH! Anywhere But Here. Good movie." she nodded, hurriedly walking ahead of him.
"Yeah, ummm... can't say I recall seeing that one." he barely responded, distant and knowing she didn't hear him, while walking with her towards the large stretch. Natalie had been the first to step out, followed by two guys.
"Hey sweetie," he smiled, approaching his former co-star with a warm embrace. One that seemed to be above the 'just friends' level to Madison, but she attempted to ignore the fact that it mildly bothered her. "How've you been?"
"Wonderful." she answered with that sparkling, angelic smile of hers. "All this.. it's so beautiful. Quiet. Secluded. I love it!"
"Ah..." he chuckled, "Now you know why I never wanna leave." he flashed his trademark grin, the one that would make any girl's heart skip a beat.
"Hey! Den! Snap out of it man!" came the loud, yet sexy European tone of an all too familar voice. A recognizeable 'pirate'. "What the hell you gawkin' at... er..." his tone faded suddenly as he folled Hayden's uncomfortable gaze. "Oh," he shifted slightly, poking Hayden in the side with his elbow, grinning. "And you are?..."
"Ma.. Madison Murphy." she blushed rapidly, shaking and stuttering.
"My pleasure." he reached out to greet her, she accepted and unexpectedly, he lowered his lips to her hand in a gentlemen fashion. "I'm..." he raised his eyebrows, his lips still slightly brushed against her skin.
Blushing even more now, she answered... "Orlando Bloom." she couldn't help but smile. And Hayden couldn't help but feel as if he'd suddenly become invisible. Knowing Natalie instantly over him was one thing... 'But Orlando? What the ****! Has a ******* meteor hit earth and I just missed it... or what?' He was slightly angry, but would soon become pre-occupied when Natalie pulled him to the side and away from Madison and Orlando.
"So you've heard of me." he couldn't help the satisfied grin that appeared over his lips. "Just out of nagging curiousity, how do you know 'Den?"
Her smile faded lightly at the mention of his name, she looked around but didn't see him. 'When did he leave?' she wondered. "Uh, yeah... I don't, really. We just met, yesterday actually."

Re: Beautiful Disaster: Chapter 03
"Really?" he raised his left eyebrow slightly, watching from the corner as Dhani Harrison, the son of the late George Harrison and best friend to Hayden, stepped out. Seemingly cool and relaxed with his leather jacket and khakis, he approached the two with a smile. "You live around here or something?"
"Hey, I'm just gonna drop my stuff of in the guest room, I'll see ya in five?" Dhani quickly spoke and rushed off even before he could get any kind of resposne out of Orlando OR Madison. They just laughed.
"NO. My parents own one of the cottages on this property, I'm staying for the summer."
"Nice." he answered thoughtfully. "Three guys. Two girls. Should prove to be quite an interesting summer..." he softly mumbled, more to himself than to her or anyone else. "What do you do?" he questioned, walking around to the back and popping the trunk, picking up and throwing two duffle bags over his shoulders.
"What do you mean?" she asked, momentarily confused.
"I'm an actor, as is everyone else here. What DO you do?"
"Oh," she looked down, slightly embarassed and mentally kicking herself for acting out of character with him. "I'm a writer."
"Writer, eh?" he flashed a smile. "Sounds interesting. Though I keep a journal, I couldn't write anything for ****. I've made a few attempts," he paused, stopping with her at the entrance of the mansion and setting his bags on the ground and pulling a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, lighting one up shortly. "BUT... like I said. it's all ****. Completely horrid."
She couldn't help but laugh, "Hey now, that's being a little harsh. Every one person is their own worst critic, so... your words might've not been as bad as you thought." she locked her eyes on his cigarette pack. "I know I shouldn't, but... I,"
He cut in instantly, "You want one?" he offered.
She remained hesitant, "I've been trying to quit. Three times already. But something ALWAYS draws me back." she sighed deeply and rolled her eyes. "I'm a weak addict."
He cracked up at her expression, "Tell me about it. I've been trying ever since I started!" he stood and circled around her, pausing towards the horizon, "It's amazing, isn't it?" he reasoned, settled and content.
"Yeah, it is." she agreed, taking the cigarette from him. Taking the first hit, she let a soft moan of pleasure escape her lips at the longing taste. "So, call me a curious mind... I'd like to know how you and Hayden met."
He smiled softly, throwing his now finished cigarette to the ground and stepping on it. "Through a mutual co-star," he began lightly. "Though I doubt many people would know this, our connection to this actor anyway. With Hayden, it's most obvious. They were in Star Wars together. But in our movie, my role was extremely limited."
"Star Wars? Ummm... I doubt it was Natalie. Or was it?" she looked over, studying his character.
"Nah. She's not exactly into the kind of movies I've been in." he answered.
"Who then?" she wondered, without a clue and softly admiting defeat.
"Ewan McGregor." he stated matter-of-factly.
Madison's eyes grew wide and her jaw nearly dropped to the ground, it should've been SO obvious, she thought. "I can't believe it!" she whispered. "Black Hawk Down."
He nodded silently, "Black Hawk Down."
"What happened with the blonde model?" Natalie questioned, quietly swinging from a tire connected to an oak tree, her gaze never falling from a dishelved Hayden. "That girl back there? I'm sorry, I didn't get her name... is she your latest conquest?" she joked sweetly.
He shook his head, "Nah. Our father's go WAY back, to childhood, though ironically we've never met. Until yesterday, that is." he countered, keeping his back turned to her while just staring out at the same horizon Madison had her eyes on at that very moment. "She's staying at the cottage." he added shortly. "Just a mere accquainance."
"Ahhh, I see." she giggled, stabbing her feet into the ground and stopping the swing. "She's VERY pretty though," she approached him from behind, resting her elbows on his shoulders and peaking at him from the side. "Don't you agree?"
The look he recieved from her added with the question caused rose red circles to form in his cheeks, "I... ah, I don't..."
Natalie nodded bightly with a smug expression, "Exactly what I thought." she inquired, the scenery from across the property soon grabbing her attention. "Though I have to admit, they look cute together too." she added shortly, phrasing her words in a tone that would cause Hayden to turn, stare and blaze. "I think... they must be hitting it off rather well, don't you agree?" she tinted her last words with a soft chuckle.
"What? I..." his words quickly become distorted as he focused his eyes on Orlando and Madison's instant closeness and drew his attention AWAY from Natalie. Every so often, she'd tossing her hair to the side and twirl the end with her fingertips as she giggled softly at his jokes. Natalie noticed it, Hayden was more than aware of it and while it mildly bothered him, he pretended as if he didn't care. "Their BOTH single, it's summer... let them do what they want." he settled on, under his breath, then turned back towards Natalie with a forced smile.
Natalie only rolled her eyes, knowing Hayden well. Maybe TOO well, to gather the bit that he was crushing on this mysterious young girl he'd only known for a day. "Whatever Hayden, but remember... Orli works fast and the girls can't help but fall head over heels for him, something SHE seems to experiencing RIGHT now. If you like this girl, and you don't make your move soon, you WILL lose." with those few words of simplicity, Natalie left him and tracked back towards the house, giving him alot to think about as he gazed distantly towards the duo.
