Beautiful Disaster: Chapter 02

Title: Beautiful Disaster
Rating: Currently PG-13
Fan Subject: Hayden Christensen
Characters: Hayden Christensen, Madison Murphy {original character}, Orlando Bloom, Natalie Portman, Dhani Harrison....
Current Chapters: 03
Tagline: Live for the moment. Risk it all. Take a chance... but NEVER fall in love.

NOTE: Alright... for those fan fiction AND Hayden lovers out there, here's Chapter Two. It's probably not my best work, but hopefully... the next chapter will turn out better. I was trying to get this up before someone leaves for camp on Sunday, so it was a bit rushed. Feedback and ideas are always appreciated.

Chapter 02: Feelings

"Security? What the hell are you talking about?! I've done absolutely nothing wrong!" she argued, purposely falling on her tush for a seat in the warm sand. "Look, I understand why you would... um, yeah. BUT, see... my parents, they own that cottage" she pointed him in the direction of the small property. "They're letting me stay for the summer."

"I know the family." he nodded slightly with his arms crossed, never really looking away from her. "Well, only in the conversal sense. My father grew up with Glen, so I met him once or twice. That remains beside the point though. It still doesn't prove that you know the family, much less are a part of it."

"Are you calling me a liar?" she turned and looked at him with dismay. "What reason would I have to do such a thing?"

"Stalker, maybe?" he pondered. "Another obsessive fan?" he added with a little thinking out loud. "I've had more than my fair share of those lately." he mumbled lightly, distantly.

"Excuse me?!" she blurted in an angry tone, her eyes were flaring. She couldn't have felt more insulted by anything that anyone else has ever said to her. And of course, not known WHO Hayden really was, she completely took his words the wrong way. "I am NOT a stalker!" she stood up again, got in his face and pushed her finger into his chest as she yelled at him. "I don't know WHO the hell you think you are, but you do NOT have the right to make assumptions about me. You don't even know me!"

Somehow he remained to keep his cool. "And vice versa. Look little missy, I'm NOT doing this to come off as an asshole. I simply just don't believe you."

"And I owe you an explanation?! Ha! I don't think so..." she turned on her heel, kicking a bit of sand at Hayden as she did so. She was headed in the direction of the cottage, but she didn't get too far before an strong grip grabbed a hold on her wrist. "What the-" she turned in suprise, pulled towards him by his force. "Get your hands off me!"

"I don't think so." he replied calmly.

"Unbelievable!" she groaned. "Are you REALLY that desperate?!" she wondered. "Or just a complete jack ass?" she rolled her eyes.

"Now look, that was out of line!" he was no longer in a content state of mind. He could feel himself losing control with this girl, which could be considered unnatural on his end. NO girl ever had THIS kind of effect on him. "I have my reasons for doubting you. NOW all you would have to do is give me your name, and this would ALL be settled. Seem simple enough?"

"I don't care what your reasons are. Or if you believe me. Hell, I could care less what you think of me. I'm not giving you my name."

"God, what is it with you?!" he yelled slightly. "Why do you have to be so... so infuriating?!"

She used all of her strength to pull away from his grasp finally, so much so that it caused her to stumble back and fall back to the ground. She looked up at him silently, for only a moment, with a small smirk over her lips. "It's just what I am." she softly answered. "Why do you have to be such a jerk?"

He came to a sudden realization just then, their entire conversation from the start finally dawning on him. "You really have NO idea who I am, do you?"

"NO. And frankly, I don't give a damn. You make yourself out to sound like your someone special." she added a tint of laughter on her last words. Then she looked and saw the wave of seriousness cross his features. "Ha, right... okay..." her tone gets sarcastic. "Your an actor. And you've beaten out Leonardo DiCaprio for numerous roles."

He nodded, "Precisely. BUT, to add to that last part... ONLY one role."

"Huh?" she was confused. "Hey guy, I was just kidding."

"Do you even know my name?" he questioned, with a raised eyebrow. This definitely had to be a first, he thought. For the first time, he meets someone who has NO idea who he is.

"Ummm... only that your last name is Christensen. That you live on this estate. But that's it. Geesh, why the twenty questions? You don't seriously think I'm interested... do you?"

"That's not it." he shook his head, silently taking a seat next to her on the sand-covered floor. "It's just... your actually the first person I've met that didn't know who I was."

"Don't you feel blessed..." she rolled her eyes, then turned her focus on the ocean and watched as the waves crashed against the shore.

"Are you ALWAYS like THIS?" he asked, a bit annoyed with her attitude.

"Usually. But I'm not a real social person either." she admitted. "I think I understand why you were so consistent about earlier. Crazed fans, publicity, the works. You must be pretty popular." she titled her head to the side to look at him, a small grin peaking over her lips.

Once again his shyness took over and he silently blushed then looked away for a moment. "Ah well, Star Wars will do that to you." he revealed.

Re: Beautiful Disaster: Chapter 02

"Star Wars?!" she gasped. "Your not serious..." she let her words fade lightly, then there was a few moments of silence before she spoke again. "It's no wonder you didn't believe me. Much less, took me for a stalker." she added softly.

"Yeah, well... with everything that's been going on, I'm just trying to be more careful."

"I understand." she said, pulling herself back up to her feet. "But-" she cut herself shortly, realizing she didn't even know his name, but then thinking to herself that it didn't matter anyway. "Ah, nevermind." she brushed the thought off, ignoring the look of confusion over his features. "Okay, so I realized I didn't know your name." she revealed. "But you know, it doesn't matter anyway. Because I'm not looking for a friend." she told him harshly. "It's exactly why I'm here... to get away from the real world, you know. Let's just keep it at that." she winked at him, then turned and walked away, back to the cottage.

Hayden stood watching after her, confused but intrigued. She was so unlike anyone else he'd ever met. Mysterious, toxic, sensual, and obviously problematic. He didn't care of the words she'd spoken before, he had an ache to get to know her, and that was exactly what he'd set out to do. He smiled and shoved his hands in his pockets, making his way back to the mansion.

The next morning, she awoke to the sunrise. She'd made her bed on the floor the night before, so she hadn't exactly had the BEST night's sleep. Stretching momentarily, she turned and walked towards the patio to slide open the curtains and let the sunshine in. Seeing the countryside at the beginning of the day, it was simply amazing she thought. Her eyes fell upon the open beach, and flashbacks of the night before instantly crossed her thoughts.

He was cute, she had to admit at least that. But he was too high risk for her liking, not to mention the fact that he gave her the vibe of "complete heartbreaker".

"That's not why I'm here..." she shook her head. "Getting involved with someone is the LAST thing on my mind." she kept telling herself over and over again. "But apparently, I can't seem to get YOU off my mind," she pondered lightly. "WHAT THE HELL is wrong with me?" she slapped her palm against her forhead and took a deep breath. "I'm just gonna forget about this. Yeah, sounds like a plan. I'll just take a shower, then find a spot on the beach... just me and my journal." she smiled, then walked off.

She stepped out on the porch and breathed in the fresh air wearing a simple pair of cut-off jean shorts, a black tank top and flip-flops. She smiled then made her way towards the beach. It was a beautiful day, the waves crashed smoothly against the shore and the sun sat on the horizon in a entoxicating manner. She let herself fall into the warm sand, digging her feet in as she opened her journal.

Just me again. I decided to take a vacation from the havoc back in Michigan. I'm in Toronto now, and after a day... I must say it's been interesting. Within only hours of being here, I managed to find myself in an extremely embarassing situation. I went skinny dipping, and needless to say... I got caught. I know, a VERY stupid thing to do on my part. But honestly, I didn't think I'd get caught. Or at least I wouldn't have if HE hadn't been out on the beach... watching me. Why was he watching me anyway?

She stopped momentarily to ponder the thought. How was he managing to get to her like this? She didn't like it. She hated thinking about it. And she prayed she wouldn't run into him again, though that was probably an impossible hope. She looked down again and continued to right.

Wasn't it enough that I had a dream of him? Why do I suddenly feel haunted? And I've only known this guy for a day! This is... it's surreal. That's what it is. Who meets someone, only once, and then has non stop thoughts about them? It's crazy. I can only imagine what his impression of my ways. A *****, that's what. I wasn't very nice to the guy, which is actually pretty normal for me. I'm never nice to anyone. But he did seem sweet. And shy. But obviously not TOO shy if he's an actor. That's what makes this so complicated, the fact that he's high risk. Even if I DID want to do something with him, it'd never work out. He's not my type, and I don't do relationships.

She silently closed her book on that last note, and set it in the sand. She pulled her knees up and hugged them tightly to her chest as she gazed out at the horizon.

"I really am pathetic..." she mumbled sadly, a single tear falling from her right eye.

From a distance, he stood watching her. He pondered whether or not to approach her. She seemed content, quiet and the type that was happier with the company of one instead of two. Maybe he should've left her alone, but he always went against his better judgement. The part of him that screamed, 'She's trouble. Your making a mistake, don't get invovled. Just turn around, and walk away.' The fact was, he didn't care. It was summer. He had a WHOLE month of solitude. No worries. And summer ALWAYS had been about harmless flings and an escape from the 'real' world.

He shoved his hands into his khaki shorts as he quietly walked towards her. If anything, he wanted to be JUST friends, and from what he knew about her... it seemed as if she didn't have any REAL ones at that. Silently, he took a seat in the warm sand next to her. Apparently, she hadn't acknowledged him until he spoke.

"A penny for your thoughts." he reached out, she looked over and gasped. He had the warmest, most sensual smile she had EVER seen on any one person.
