I've made a few inquiries and received correspondence today stating that a senior FA official is under no illusion that the P&WDCFL is still part of the pyramid system. This merely confirms that Ian Leonard's action in downgrading 'his' league is solely an attempt to give one of his clubs a chance to win some silverware (Devon Senior Cup). What a disgrace. Maybe the feeder leagues in the North, South and East should do the same and allow the Premier Cup to be contested for by teams in Peninsula East only.

I agree about that Phil guy from SWP League. Have read his posts for some time now and he comes across as self-righteous and stuck-up his own ar5e. He seems to think he has the God given right to say and do whatever he wants.

I think you have mis-read the posts then Mike! Both myself and Rocky are agreeing with Phil Hiscox, It is Ian Leonard that is wrong on this one, I too made inquires and it would seem that Mr Leonard downgraded his own league to give his league a better advantage in winning a cup.
There is no doubt that the P&D is a feeder league and whatever the top division calls its self their clubs should be playing in the Premier cup NOT senior.
I feel sorry for people like Darren Raven who is manager of Wessex (i think) and didn't know anything about this underhand buisness, Obviously reading his Peninsula posts he has ambitions for his club and he has been denied the chance to compete against the best clubs around because of Mr Leonard's rule change. He was not even aware his team could apply for promotion if they finish top 2 in the P&D league.

No need for personal attacks. This is just a little weird and someone needs to highlight the unfairness to the DCFA or higher. Next Torquay Utd will be entering the Herald to win a game!. We have got to go to the expense of heading to Plymouth to play a premier side witha trophy cabinet bigger than Uptons. This after our changing rooms being ransacked last year and us not even wanting to enter the damn cup!. We could have used that money to cut the grass!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sense an appeal coming on!!. teehee!

i think its devious, cheating, underhand, and just downright wrong, whatever you call your top division then those teams should enter the premier cup.

its up to all the south devon clubs to prove that we're are good enough to compete with there premier clubs..think it should be only div 1 downwards not the premier but its a chance to cause a few upsets...bring on the challenge

Having now spoken to a couple of "experts" at the Devon FA it seems clear to me that Mr Leonard has pulled a fast one with the Devon FA and their top Division should be in the Premier Cup.
Time to get your secretaries to protest me thinks.
