Re: SDL Questions & Answer
Well to confuse things even more page 36 says 2.00!!!
I would go with p.15 as that is an actual rule.

Re: SDL Questions & Answer
We have had a similar problem we decided to go for a 2.30 start. although we might start at 2 and tell the opposition 2.30. we should be at least 1-0 up by the time they turn up!.or at least drawing 1-1!!

Re: SDL Questions & Answer
some of my mates from Broadhempston have asked to ask a question on here, They wish to sign a player who they put 7 days in for earlier in the season at the time he didn't join but has since approached them saying he has changed his mind. As the rule stands you cant put 7 in for the same player, now as that player has paid his debt to the club shouldn't the secretary be able to release him from his current club? The Broads lads seem to think his transfer is being deliberatly held up by the other club so who do they report the matter to?

Re: SDL Questions & Answer
Best to approach Devon FA as the 7 day approach rule is within there remit & not the SDL

Re: SDL Questions & Answer
Seems to me you have been told a few porkies by your mates at Broadhempston. The player concerned is without a doubt Sam Peardon who is currently a Newton United player.
Broadhempston United put in a 7 day notice of approach for him on 10/08/07.Sam was aware of this but decided to stay with Newton United.
Last sat evening another of our players told me he had heard that Sam was again thinking of leaving and joining Broadhempston,I said that as far as i am aware once 7 days notice of approach were put in the transfer had to be completed within 28 days and they are not allowed to approach the player again in the same season.
The first i heard from Sam was yesterday (Tues) lunchtime when he rang me at work (why not wait until the evening) and asked if he could join Broadhempston ? I told him that i had heard nothing fom Broadhempston since August but would check the rules and if there was a problem i would ask the manager if he would turn a blind eye to them.
Last night (just a few hours later) two Broadhempston players and Sam turned up at my house with a transfer form,I asked them in and showed them the Devon County handbook and pointed out rule 17.I told them that if the manager and commitee were happy and he had no debts to the club i would sign the form at training on thursday.Sam was quite happy with this when he left On checking with the treasurer he owes a small amount of money to the club which he should easily be able to pay .However after reading what has been put on here today i think any developments must wait until a commitee meeting on sunday evening.

Re: SDL Questions & Answer
Surely a player can just be released, we recently released a player who due to other commitments can't play for us anymore.
