Well nobody thought we'd beat Stavvy and they were right!!
Problem was none of our team thought we could beat them for the first 25 minutes either and by then they were 3-0 up with a Mike Summers hat-trick(Brilliant stuff - unplayable)
First Half Stavvy were as excellent as we were awful.
2nd half we improved, but not enough to threaten their goal too often.
In a game like this, in my experience with Stavvy, you usually find out that they have the ability to ensure your misery by sucking any pleasure you might get out of the game because they are the most arrogant bunch you could wish to meet, except for their managers, spectators and officials who are a credit to the club and make the players look even worse!.
They sunk to a new low when their players started shouting "ole" to each other with each pass after about 75 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason they didn't add to their score was that for the last half hour they were happy to expend all their efforts on winding our players up and making snide comments.

Yea Tony know exactly what u mean by those comments!! We played them a couple of weeks ago and they scored after about a minute (disallowed though!!!) and they were chirping then about being brilliant and how they were going to beat us and how good they were!! But they soon went quiet when we beat them 5-2 those boys cant take not winning!!!!!

Hi Benny88, I can't comment for how "brilliant" stavvy thought they were as I was not on the pitch. One thing I can say though is you show a good loser and I'll show you a loser.
However, Riviera Tony, the only "ole" i hear was when your striker was nut megged and you tell me a player who isn't going to shout when they pull off such skill.
This was the same player who elbowed twice and kicked off the ball on numerous occations. There were comments directed at your striker but there was nothing against your team as the rest of the lads didn't have an attitude like he did.
