Re: Early predictions
DIVISION TWO
Tip for the title
Newton 66: The signing of Dawlish Town goalkeeper Jason Kinsman surely shows 66 mean business as they aim to bounce back to Division One at the first attempt.
Ipplepen were just one of the clubs chasing Kinsman but he decided to return to his old haunt.
Taken from other sdl website.. So 66 are the tip to win div 2,so they are our bench mark to chase. Do think getting Kins to play at this level,is a great signing.
Good luck tom everyone in Div 2.

Re: Early predictions
i think its way to early to predict that we'll win the league..we'll be happy with a top 5 finish tho...new team needs time to gel plus we've only just started playing games 2 weeks ago which with each game we've had 4 or 5 different players starting...hopefully be a good season for all the clubs in div 2...good luck to everybody this coming season...

Re: Early predictions
Langdon having lost ALL their 1st team outfield players to Dawlish Utd except Neil Cleave who promptly broke his leg in his 1st match MUST be favourites for the drop.
We have had to move players up 5 divisions to fulfil the fixtures.

Re: Early predictions
Good result against Stoke reserves so they must be able to play. Stoke in my opinion will be in the top two with Buckfastleigh

Re: Early predictions
The result was excellent though we rode our luck at times....They were nt at full strength i think.
Only hope we can pull in more quality mature players to ensure survival... at least.
We have some promising young players but are desperately short in some positions....

Re: Early predictions
If Langdon play like sat,i cannot see them being in drop zone, thye have a great keeper, and a couple of useful players. We were missing quite a few players, but didnt convert our chances,so a lesson to be learned. And that pitch is sodding massive lol..

Re: Early predictions
How big is your pitch Chipper - ours is 100x50m and that seems to big when you get to my age - and thats only when I'm grateful for twenty minutes!!!!

Re: Early predictions
The FA recommended size is 110 x 70 yards.
They also state the length must be more than 100, but be no more than 130 yards. The width must be more than 50, but not be more than 100 yards.
I paced the distance between the corner flag and 18 yard box on saturday......and I think it was 24 paces. That would make the width over 90 yards. There was about 30 paces between the centre-circle and the 'D' which would make the length in excess of 120 yards.
IT'S BIG
