Match report 19/9/2009
Stoke Gabriel res 5 v 0 Hele Res
We ran out 5 nil winners against a gritty Hele team, five different scorers, and a clean sheet, and of cause 3pts,so all in all a good end result, We still finding it hard with so many players missing, hopefully they will make themselves available soon.
Must say Shaun Hunter there keeper made some superb saves, and in my opinion is a very good keeper.
Well done Hele for coming with just a starting 11.
Scorers Dan Greaves,Rob Helmore,Tom Birch,Liam Collings,Joe Thompson

Re: Match report 19/9/2009
Meadowbrook 0 Beesands 2
Poor, Poor P*** poor first half performance from Brook gave a much changed Beesands team a good foothold in the game with them 2 up at the break. Second goal was a really good pass and move goal.
Better 2nd half with our goalie making 1 save from our own defender and dealing with 2 back passes. but to be honest although we had all the ball never really looked like scoring. Credit Beesands who defended in a good shape and played on the break.
Tough year me thinks!!

Re: Match report 19/9/2009
Brixham Utd Res 0 - Kingsteignton Res 3
Kingsteignton Res travelled to high flying Brixham United, Kings' got off to a solid start, keeping the ball well and looking dangerous on both flanks.Kingsteignton took the lead after half an hour, Mark Westlake latching on Rik Reyolds' driven corner.
The second half, started in a similar fashion to the first, after an hour Brixham began to put more pressure on Kingsteignton's defence after putting three up front. Kingsteignton defended doggedly with 16 year old Jack Smith at the heart of the defence, with 80 minutes gone Graham disbury scored a superb lob from the edge of the edge of the penalty box, Mike Sanders volley made it 0-3. Captain Rik Reynolds, the architech of all three Kingsteignton goals.
Man of the Match - Jack Smith (Kingsteignton Athletic)

Re: Match report 19/9/2009
That was the worst Brixham side i have played, last year they battered us twice, very sluggish at the back. i'd say the league table is not an accurate reflection,
They are a massive side, but never seemed to make an impact, in the end our pace was the difference, two goals in the last 15 minutes, i wouldn't say they are the fittest side, but physical.
Liam Price up front has a rocket of a shot on him though, speaking to them they had a few moved up to first team, so may be a different side this week!
All the best
