Bovey Tracey res 2 South Brent 0

Comfy win for Bovey in which they never really needed to move out of 2nd gear.
Tom Reeves put Bovey 1 up at the interval, and Wes Day sealed the win in the 2nd half.
Yet again Bovey were guilty of some bad misses, Wes mis kicked with the goal at his mercy, Tom Arnold put a free header wide and new signing Martin Ware 2 sitters after going clean through.
Brent didn't really seem bothered about trying to claim some points and i only saw them have 1 clear chance at the end which was ballooned over, Anderson's only 2nd half save also came on about 88 minutes when he tipped a Brent shot over.
all in all a pretty dull game really!

Re: Match Chat

Big big match for Bovey reserves this weekend when Staverton reserves roll in, No doubt on paper Bovey have a brilliant team but ,have dropped a lot of silly points already this season.
Bovey in my opinion cannot really afford to lose this one, in fact a draw may not even be good enough come the end of the season.
Stavvy have had some big wins and look to have a fair bit of pace in their team to.
This will be a very intriguing game, and if anyone is watching it will be at our new pitch down the bottom 3pm.
It looks like Hookhills are gonna win this league leaving Bovey, Stavvy, Wbb, Stoke and maybe Teigns (if they get their act together) fighting for the other guaranteed promotion slot.

As there are so many teams potentially fighting for that 2nd spot will a team go up having dropped a shed load of points...?
Anyway think Boveys next 2 league games will shape the table/promotion race a great deal, After Stavvy our next game is away to Teignmouth...

LOL, i think thats what we're all hoping Steve but, even though Hookhills look like they have snapped up the league already lets just wait till after Christmas. Strange things happen around the festive period and the league could turn on its head. Whatever the outcome its going to be tight for that runner's up spot for sure and even though we're only 2 and 3/4 months into the season its been one of the best i've played in so far.

Good luck Saturday, i'll be hoping for a Draw though mate.

Trust you to get picky Pearcey emoticon , i mean Teignmouth is the next league game after Stavvy for Bovey.

Lcb- Yea i think both our teams will be looking at when those promotion rivals play each other and hoping for draws, The Bovey-Stoke draw was probably an ideal example!
Good luck to everyone on an exciting race.

They will soon catch up with mid-weekers near end of season or perhaps they will use lights at coach road at some point.

teigns have had a shaky start that`s all, no need for 1st teamers, we didn`t need them last year and don`t need them this!
even if we wanted to, which we don`t, use first teamers for sat games we couldn`t as they have been taking players from us as they are short!
as for late mid week games this season it is possible but i`m sure if any res teams were possibly fighting for promotion and were short of players, thier 1sts would be helping out!!!!
or is it only teigns that are supposed to do that???!! lol
