Bovey outclass stavy
bovey ran riot with a relaxed, very impressive 5.2 victory. Think bovey will be challenging if not the team to beat this year from now on!!!

Re: Bovey outclass stavy
You dont know their first team players then ?
Ben Head Mark Sneap & Mark Dyson played, all exceptional players, we will see what happens later in the season if we play Bovey Res if their first team have no game next time,
no doubt they had a excellent side out today, and played some excellent football, and were to good for us on the day
Best of luck to them this season

Re: Bovey outclass stavy
In fairness to our manager Snelly he was only going to start 1 1st teamer and that was Sneap, but unforunately for Stavvy both regular Bovey centre backs Sam Brooks (last season's player of year) and Aaron Davis (last season's 1st team player/year) pulled out on the day, so that meant a start for Ben Head, I have no doubt they will have made a difference to the team as they are both excellent players, whether it would've effected the result no-one knows! As Simon says the return will be interesting when Bovey should have their regular side out, and only then will we know for sure how much difference Ben and Sneap made.
Stavvy still in a strong position, only 1 point behind with 2 games in hand i think?
Think it is all over for Teignmouth though...

Re: Bovey outclass stavy
Ps not sure who John666 is but, pretty harsh posting! You won't hear our lads crowing about this result as nothing won yet and no-one likes a big head!

Re: Bovey outclass stavy
I know their 1st team have lost a few players as we have just re-signed Dyson from them, they have lost the keeper to Exeter civil, the other is suspended, Ash Webber and Lloyd Gardner have also left and Wiko can't play that often anymore due to his chip shop buisness!
Would imagine this has had a knock on effect for Jeff's boys.

Re: Bovey outclass stavy
Dave,
he is not a first team player, he plays for Elburton Villa,
and to get the fact right, he was 2nd sub last week, came on with 15 minutes left when we were 4-1 up, i would never start him over a regular player, that is why he went on 2nd sub, i was 3rd sub as emergency,
that is the differance, a few weeks ago our first team had no game, we used no first team players,
hope that clears it up Dave

member of camp teignmouth here
broads 6 - 0 teignmouth
it has had a knock on effect for the reserves i`m afraid, 1st team taking many of our players including our keeper, players out injured also!
an outfeild player played in goal 1st half, at half time when 2 - 0 down he thought he could come out and change the game all by himself (which obviously he didn`t) meaning jeff had to take the gloves! we had a player sent off which meant we played with 10 men for a lot of the game and we were also playing with players called out of retirement!
well done to broads, deserved the win!
we were sh**e!!!!!!!!!
