IPPLEPEN RES 4 v 0 CHAGFORD RES
Well were do i start on this one? Ipps started the better and looked like they might run riot with the goals and looking at the score line you would think that was the case, however after Ipss having the 1st ten mins Chags took control and looked the dangerous side, but as with last weeks game we wasted our chances and that came back to haunt us in the 2nd half. i have to add that Ipps have some well seasoned players who have all played a t a good level in the SDL and are well below the league standard they should be.
The ref however was poor, hats of to him for refing the game as it is a task that no one likes, that said consistancy is a word i may not be able to spell most of the time but at least i know what it means and this ref did not have a clue. totaly bias in all his calls even to the point when our centre fwd was hacked 3 times in the penalty box but still stood his ground so the defender decided to basically rugby tackle him to the ground. he did not see this quote, yet he then said it was a shoulder to shoulder challenge, quote?? this happened through out we got hit hard but as soon as we put a shoulder in off the whistle went.
The reason for the gripe is that at one nil down with a pen and last defender making the challenge the game would of turned out differently i feel also and i think we have all been their when big desicions (game changing) constantly go against you it drains the team down a little and with 20 to go thats what happened we lost our drive made mistakes and payed the price by getting hammered 4 -0. The players were all good lads and they are probably the best side ive played in this league this season

Re: IPPLEPEN RES 4 v 0 CHAGFORD RES
I have to agree on the penalty claim and at the time it could have been game changing if it was given (in no way am i saying it was or wasnt ) .My opinion he reffed the game as he saw it and im sure that no-one will see any game the same as the person standing next to you .If he didnt see the incident i have no reason to doubt him on that because i know if he clearly see a foul he would have given a penalty his integrity would never be in question in my eyes ,but nevertheless i dont quite agree possession wise 1st half we controlled it i thought but the 2 or 3 half chances when u got in behind were probably the best chances other than the 1 we took .2nd half i felt again we was mostly in control wether that be reffing decisions (in your eyes)or the dominance of our side is conjecture.Chagford were not "hammered " the scoreline flattered us and i expect a tough game away as we got yesterday .GL to all at Chags and look forward to March

Re: IPPLEPEN RES 4 v 0 CHAGFORD RES
bakes your boys played very well, and are a bloody good side. Ref spoiled it for me, but I would rather focus on my game with Torquay today and what a fantastic game it was, then yesterday as I dont think my missus wants me in a foul mood again lol.
good luck for the season, sure you will be the right end of the table if you keep going like yesterday mate and also think the club has come on leaps and bounds since I last played them a few years back which is good to see as well.

Re: IPPLEPEN RES 4 v 0 CHAGFORD RES
bakes agree that you controlled 2nd half No 15 Chris ?? made a difference and also thought you were technically better, that said i thought that we def had the upper hand in the first minus the first ten mins and put pressure on your defense and keeper forcing them to almost score two own goals.
Agree with JG that you have a good side and wont be long before we see you getting up with the 1st team. As for the ref i also say as i see and thought his second half performance was far better than the 1st, i know its a horrible job to do and like i said hats off to him for ref'n.
Defo a game of opinions thats why we love it so much. forgot to pass on my best to you and the lads for the rest of the season in my first post so good luck and all the best; i look fwd to playing you boys again sometime in the future.
