CHELSEA SIGNINGS BAN

This is a quote from BBC Sport's website.

Chelsea have been banned from signing any new players until January 2011 by football's governing body Fifa.

The Premier League club was found guilty of inducing French winger Gael Kakuta, 18, to breach his contract with Lens when he joined in 2007.

"Chelsea is banned from registering any new players for the two next registration periods," a statement on Fifa's website read.

Chelsea can appeal against the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Re: CHELSEA SIGNINGS BAN

With the squad the mighty blues have they shouldn't need to sign anyone in the next two windows. Theres at least 2 good players in every position and with more players signing long term contracts the next few years should see some stability with the squad.

There are a few youngsters out on loan this season who will hopefully come back and challenge for a first team place, Scott Sinclair (Wigan) and Franco Di Santo (Blackburn) especially.

Lets see what the appeal brings though ! !

Up the Chels ! !

Re: CHELSEA SIGNINGS BAN

I should imagine that Chelsea probably knew something like this would happen, thats why theyve loaned out there younger talent to try and bring them on abit quicker!!

Roma got done by FIFA for the exact same thing in regards to their purchase of Mexes, it was a 12 month ban, reduced to 6 on appeal. Chelski will probably chuck abit of cash at someone at get it reduced to 1 transfer window, which wont really affect them!!!

So once again, scabby old Chelsea get away with it Scot free!!!!
