yeh 2 first teamers, wayne burgin because he missed sundays game and john smith for fitness. was an awful game to watch though i must say.

Newton Spurs Res 3 (S Dodwell; T Chisholm; R Sanders) Chagford 3 (V Reeves 2; J de Cruz)
Playing at Seale Hayne, both clubs fielded mixed teams but still put on a decent show. Chagford created a bit more going up the slope but Spurs were two up at half-time. Failure to clear their box cost Chagford dear but both goals were well taken. Both 'keepers were doing well also.
Chagford brought on Reeves at half-time and he responded by snapping up a couple of good goals. Spurs then went ahead again through a nicely placed penalty from Sanders, 12 minutes from time. Chagford came straight back as de Cruz stabbed home, completing the scoring.
Both sides looked fit and I think we may see Spurs back in the Premier sooner rather than later.

Ilsington 1 Teignmouth Res 3
First game of the pre-season and Teigns had 20 players travel to Ilsington for the managers to look at. Ilsington played well and will do well i feel, in Division 4. Thankyou to Pearcey and his players for extending a warm welcome to us. Maybe we can repeat this in the next pre-season.

Cheers buddy,was a good first friendly to have, the score line doent tell the whole story, 2 soft goals and a well worked goal to teignmouth. we played well, seeing as we had 5 key players missing from the new starting line up. But credit where credit is due!! well done Teignmouth and good luck for the season!!
p.s you missed some good grub down the pub :O)

Im def tipping Ippelpen for 1 of the 2 guaranteed promotion slots this season, Although we had a lot of players missing this was compensated for by the fact we started with 3 of our regular 1st team players.
Scorers were Ryan Weir 3 for pens (what a good player he has turned out to be)
Darren Morgan got a corking long range effort for us.

Now that surprises me Ted! They must have had 18/19 at our match Thursday and they were all keen to play. We didn't kick that many out of playing today!
