I couldn't play last saturday, and may not be able to this week either so I have no personal gripe either way really. Procedure wasn't followed though as Ant has confirmed. It is a strange situation though when the home club has to call it off early to stop their players travelling to the game, when all the away team live nearer to the ground

Get over it guys the pitch was unplayable at the time of the inspection end of...
No one else has moaned about the other games cancelled which included ours (Harbertonford). Often games get called off too early but no one can reverse the decison once its been made. Think most people would moan if they found out too late and were not able to plan anything else for the day.

It's not that it was called off it was who called it off. Anyway we're over and will look forward to Saturday. Let's hope there's not a little bit of rain.

Do you really think that Singe is going to sacrifice a game of football as to spend the day shopping with Mrs Singe and her mum? I very much doubt it.
So what would happen if the landlords put the pitch out of bounds - I doubt that they are referees!
Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture, perhaps IF last weeks game had gone ahead it could have made the pitch unplayable for 3 weeks.

I think a qualified ref did.
"For the record a qualified referee did visit your pitch later in the day & confirmed that he to would have called the game off." [Ant Roach].
Get over it, we had a full squad last week we don't this week, fact.
No one complained about any of the other games off. Same old story. Think we should re-name the club Millwall FC.
Paul Allen if you have no personal gripe, what's the problem? The game was off last week, it's on (so far) this week, happy days, the game will get played and best of all no one has been killed woohoo, result!

Dont Teignbridge DC have the right to call your game off on a Friday night??? Staverton have no reason to fear playing anyone as they have two good sides that can match anyone on their day so I doubt they would call a game off for any reason other than the pitch not being playable.
