So, last night my boyfriend Joe proposed! emoticon emoticon

I don't think anything can cover how excited I am! For once I was speechless (that says a lot), and I admit to crying a wee bit while hugging him.

That's the ring (I took the picture on an angle so my hand looks sort of funny), it's Titanium with four diamonds interspersed evenly around it. That is just the one I wanted too- I don't like rings that have a setting which sticks out, since I have a tendency to get caught on things which hurts both my finger and the ring. I also really like having the diamonds interspersed evenly like that since it's balanced in a symbolic sense and an aesthetic sense.

He even had Love Joe engraved on the inside.

I love him very much.

Now I just have to do the call the entire family thing in a little bit (and some friends). The time zone thing made it a bit difficult, since I didn't want to wake EVERYONE up after midnight their time. As is, my mom didn't answer so I left a message on the answering machine asking her to call me but repeating I was ok and just had good exciting news. I didn't want her to think I was injured or anything!

I hope you guys don't mind that I posted this... I'm just wicked excited and wanted to share. emoticon

I've been running ragged this weekend just trying to get in touch with all of the family and family friends to let them know.

It's really awesome! His family is so sweet and nice, and it sounded like both of my parents were thrilled to bits on the phone when I called. My mom visited my grandfather after I called and said he was really excited about it all too!

His mom gave me a HUGE hug when she saw me today (I didn't see her Saturday since his folks had gone away for part of the weekend) and said she was so thrilled to "officially" have me as part of the family! Joe's son even thought it was pretty cool, and later in the evening started asking us when we were all going to get a house! (Yes, he asked the house part before asking us if we had a date. It was pretty funny.) I'm just glad he is good with it too. That DOES make all the difference.

At any rate, it was a nice weekend of celebrating and happiness!!
