Rules of the Sphere
Sphaira is a dedicated community for the discussion of spirituality and pagan matters. There are a few guidelines that all members should follow, ennumerated here:
1.) Respect. Your views may differ from those of other members, and that's a good thing. Diversity encourages development and broadens minds. Even if you believe someone else is wrong, however, you should respect the rights of others to believe as they will.
Respect also means comporting yourself in an adult manner. Basically, this means Be Nice. No flaming, name-calling or insults.
2.) The Administrators Are Your Friends. We're not here to "get you" or steal your ideas. We have the same reasons for being here as you. We also have the added responsibility of making sure Sphaira stays open and friendly. If we have to step in and make a decision, such as closing off a topic or breaking up an discussion that is getting heated toward an argument, we ask that you respect those decisions. If you would like to discuss the matter with us, please feel free to send a private message.
3.) Don't Be Afraid. Sphaira was created to be a forum for the exploration of ideas. Don't be afraid to speak out and tell us what you're thinking -- it's why we're all here.
In addition to these general, common-sense guidelines, there is one further rule, which is something of an exception to the openness of Sphaira. This rule is about what we do not welcome here:
4.) We are not open to discussion of beliefs or practices which are based on harm of self or others. We feel these beliefs and practices violate the rule of Respect. If your way of thinking involves causing harm, either physical or mental, or places you beyond the idea of caring about those around you, we ask that you not voice such thoughts here. The admins will be firm about this rule.
That's it, four simple rules that we feel will protect the spirit of Sphaira and the members of the Sphere. They won't be hard to remember and shouldn't limit you very much at all.
