The Big Change!

Here we go! Three new forums have been added and combined with an existing forum into an entirely new area, and everything has been renamed into English for ease of use and identification.

Essential Paganism, the new area, is for discussion of elements common to many pagan practices. The old Magikos forum, now known as Magical Practice, is still the same, and has been added to discussion forums for common elements of many paths. It also includes useful links to outside resources for everyone to use.

Deep Examinations is an area for more "advanced" topics. It's open to all, even the newest beginners. It's "advanced" because the topics don't usually come out of books and require careful thought and critical examination.

Subject Foci is for in-depth discussion of particular topics. The existing forums on Therianthropy/Otherkin, Technopaganism and Elementalism are good examples of what goes on here. If you have a particular topic or area that you would like to see with its own discussion forum, feel free to contact us.

It is our hope that this expansion and reorganization will make Sphaira an even friendlier and more welcoming place for everyone.

I know little - VERY little - about pagen religions but have had an outsiders interest in finding out more over the past year or so. I purchased a book called World Religion because I wanted to understand the guiding influence for so many people in the world (and in North America) today, however it does not include any information about pagen religions. I also joined a Wicca website in order to broaden my mind, then had no time for it.

I'm hoping I will finally be able to learn more here. emoticon

It would be nice if you could say hello to everyone in The Portal, too.

Sphaira is not exactly a board for Wicca beginners, but then, Pagan is not only Wicca, either. Even so, I think there is much to learn here.

There's a lot of info to be found here, and don't be afraid to ask questions too. Everyone here seems to enjoy talking about what they have learned or have read or are thinking about. I've always been a member of the school of thought where discussion about a path or philosophy is the best way to learn. emoticon
