These titles are inspired by the "perfect" or "Platonic" solids, rising from the 4-sided tetrahedron and becoming more sphere-like up to the 20-sided icosahedron, with the sphere itself as the top level. (Players of tabletop RPGs should recognize these shapes -- polyhedral gaming dice!)
