Hi!

Hey guys, some of you might know me from the Pagan Porch. I've been over there for about a year and a half now. If not, here's a quick run down.

I've only recently, within the past few years, started calling myself pagan even though I was one for many more years. I use a "p" instead of a "P" because I think Pagan has more religious connotations involving deities. I'm more of a naturalist who believes in the connectedness of all things and it seems more like a way of life than a religion since I have no deities. That's the main reason that I never considered myself pagan. I thought he HAD to worship the Goddess in order to be one. Glad I got over that and am progressing on my path now!

More recently, I was told by a Pagan friend that I was basically a Hedge Witch. I've started studying that path and I think it fits my fairly well, but possibly cottage or kitchen witch might be better. When I first heard that I was a hedge witch, I was excited to have a name for myself. Now I'm a bit less interested in that since I combine so many aspects of different things. It's just easier to stick with "pagan"! emoticon

I live in Austin on a little mini urban farm. I have 1.3 acres of land with 20 chickens, 2 beehives, a cat, a dog, a fiance and a vegetable garden! We hope to add dairy goats or a miniature dairy cow sometime soon but we are still arguing, er, discussing which one to get!

I work in a small experimental physics laboratory. We are currently concentrating on an experiment that could alter our understanding of gravity and dark matter. I'm the head experimentalist in the lab and work on all the aspects from hardware manufacturing to software development for controlling the experiment. I absolutely love my job.

Ok, that's enough of a little novel for you guys!

Re: Hi!

We hope to GET results soon! emoticon This experiment has been going on for almost 2 years now. I just started working on it full time about 6 months ago though and we've made a lot of progress then (it was a "back burner" kind of thing until now). We still don't have all the kinks worked out so don't hold your breath!
