A New Member
Hello! My name's David. I've been pointed here by CVorvus.
Well, let's see. a little about me. I'm a library worker (and have to go TO work in a few moments!). Not a librarian, but more of a basic jobs type. I'm an avid reader of all things, have been so forever. I love the past, and I love the study of it.
Hopefully, I shall speak to you all later!
DL.

Re: A New Member
Hi David, welcome on board.
An almost librarian! For a while, I aspired to become one, but somehow, life turned out differently. Maybe I wouldn't be here, if I had ended up in a library. Even so, they are cool places, and I don't go there often enough.
Glad you got dragged over here.

Welcome!
*throws jellybeans*
I know a few people who are going into library sciences. Me, I'm not a big library person. There's always strange energy in them... Some are nice, but the majority...anyway.

Re: A New Member
It is, most definitely, a wonderfou place to work. it helps that mine is a very old one (for local definitions of very old). It makes me feel close to the past I love. But it's also addiction. Too many books to return!
Thank you for the welcomes!
DL.

I guess, what with 6-7 billion people on the planet it would be too much of a coincidence if you were the same David the Librarian that I worked with in grad shool in Blegen?

Re: A New Member
Hey David, and welcome!
A library....cool. I don't have access to a decent library. We have one here in our small town, but being such a small town....the library is small, too. I haven't been in a library for probably 7 years or so. Guess I just prefer to order my books and be able to keep them...lol.

No, RantingHobbit. I'm not a librarian. Here, you have to have a degree for that. But I am a library worker. And I'm from Milwaukee, so a bit distant.

Re: A New Member
Nothing better than spending a day reading in a library. Peaceful & quiet with no distractions.
