Legend of the Seeker - current tv series
Adapted from the books by Terry Goodkind by the same folks who brought us Hercules and Xena. Good production values, Disney and ABC bring it to the screen. A second year has been authorized.
Last weekend aired # 16 of this first year - it airs in Tulsa on a Fox owned subsidiary broadcast channel. All the episodes are on Hulu, which is linked from:
Legend of the Seeker
To cases: lots of women swinging swords. The stories are well-written, most of the acting is good, except for the title role, alas. He need acting lessons, but the others carry him for his looks and athletic body (he suffers and is tortured shirtless a lot.
The series is shot in New Zealand with quasi-middle-ages theme laced with magic. I've watched several episodes despite the awkward air times of 6-7p.m. here.
What pushes me to comment is the larger role emerging for one of the nemesis: Denna, a Mord'Sith.
An exceptionally snug leather suit.
Denna has a few female assistants in similar outfits - just enough for the Seeker's female companion to get hold of one for a deception
