Hello, I am Zephyr
I hail from the Taurendor realm area and am interested in joining in with some practices. I am relatively unskilled do not have any weapons of my own however, and may bring a few friends with the same situation. Will there be loaner weapons available? I am from bucks county where is the closest battlefield? I am also interested in joining a unit, if my style interests any authorities. I feel like i have decent potential to be a good fighter. Please, let me know!

Hey Zephyr,
Welcome to Taurendor and Dagorhir. First there are currently two practices being run in the area. Order of Tauren host a open realm practice on tuesday ( the address is posted in the events section). Urk Kuldar hosts a closed practice ( closed to none unit members unless invited or your new) at 8500 pine rd phila pa 19115 saturdays 10am-2pm.
Yes there is always loaner gear and yes you should bring friends.
Joining a unit is a big decision, and should not be taken lightly. You want spend a few events at least 3 getting to know the units and the people in them. Also each unit has its own requirments and style so you may or may not care for them. I suggest talking to Kaocyde of the Wikkid tribe, he has astarter unit which will allow you to get into dag and learn the basics and then you can look for at joining units as you get into dag more.

Well if there is a practice every tuesday held by the Order of Taurendor, I think i will try and make it out there tonight with a friend of mine. That makes it more convenient that there is loaner gear, it will make it easier for me to get people to come out with me.
I have always been interested in an evasive ninja style of fighting. I would like a katana, but realize that they dont make well. Henceforth, i feel most comfortable with a short red claymore/ two-handed sword. My style is to utilize my agility to my advantage, jumping in and out of the fray.
I would also consider starting a unit of my own if the process is doable for a n00b like me. I have plenty of people who would do it, but if i were to make a unit, i fear that we would lack the skill needed for recognition. I guess I i should just pring my prospect unit members to a couple practices...

heh they kept him away from me on field.
Talk to itchy at the next event he has a excellent Katana. Well jumping in and out of a fray is alot easier said then done.
Well maybe we will talk to tonite and some people can offer you some advice. Dont be daunted by being new. but come out and learn and talk to people and listen to their advice.

If you are looking to use a katana, as Mog said, Ichiro is the best person to talk to about that. I have great respect for that man as a fighter. As for your advantages with agility, we'll get you going as a skirmisher, that's where your agility will be utilized the most.
I met you last night, but I wasn't exactly fighting.. But make no mistake, I will be more than happy to train you and show you what's what, since I spend most of my time on the field being a skirmisher.
