posticon Re: Who is Who

1. What is the biggest draw to your unit?
We embody the chivalrous dreams and ideals of King Arthur and Camelot, Charlemagne and Roland of the Paladins of the Franks, El Cid and the defenders of Spain against the Moors, Robin Hood and his merry men against Prince John, King David in the wilderness with his army of exiles on the run from jealous King Saul, and other Judeo-Christian heroes to numerous to name. They lived the stories we love to hear and live as far as we can by God's grace.

2. What is the best quality of your unit that no one (when will orcs ever learn to proof read!) knows about?
The holy spirit of living God dwells in each paladin knight of Millennia, and they faithfully seek to serve whether by life or death.

3. What is your theme?
Our theme is to spread justice, compassion, kindness, civility, mercy, grace and reverence for the Almighty into the realm of Taurendor and beyond.

4. Why would you join your unit?
If you ever dreamed of being a paladin, a holy warrior, a sacred knight, a defender of the weak and oppressed, a hero of the heart, a prince of heaven, a courageous crusader who continues the fight even when overwhelming odds are always assailed against him or her, then join the paladins.

5. What is the biggest drawback to your unit?
Holiness is not very popular in a sin laden world.

6. What is the defining moment of your groups history so far?
The paladins wrote and ran one battle scenario series for the storyline of the realm in regards to the lost tree of life. We had 8 paladins turn out for that particular battle.
We are also potentially the oldest standing unit in Taurendor. The unit began with two unknown paladins that bore the colors of blue and white. Then the unit sent forth the scouting half-elven paladin rangers of Westmost Avalon led by Sagi the Magi and Elfling. They bore the colors white and green with white stars and later gold crosses. At that time there had only been a semi-unit called the Dogs of War and an official unit called the Kingdom of Sukinar. The next wave of paladins came in both blue and white and green and white and gold led by Quixote and Sanchi. They were named the conquering paladins of Millennia that formed and went against Mordarth in the tree of life battles. They also fought the 4 riders of the Apocalypse and helped to prevent disaster from overtaken Taurendor in the past. The rangers of Talith Galidor (sp?) fought the huge dominating host of Mordarth as well. We were seriously outnumbered, because Spectere at one time had 16 fighters. However, we continued to fight against the odds and show courage and determination. Then the Rogin came along as the Barbarians of the north. There were outposts of Rome and Gestiguieste as well many other units here and there. The last wave of holy warriors have been the Avalonians or holy Roman paladins led by Artorous and Percival in the colors of red and gold. Soon all paladin forces will unit as one to help overthrow the onslaught of the orcs of Urk Kuldar.

7. What do you look for most in a new recruit?
Are they willing to humbly and zealously serve God. Do they want to walk in His ways and know His truth and love.

8.Who is your biggest in Character rival"
Mordarth

9. If you had to define your unit in one word, what would it be?
chivalry

10. In your own words, describe the other units of the realm?

Order of Tauren: Some of the best and most experienced fighters of the realm. A group that has many realm leaders. A unit that is elite and selective. A unit commited to the realm of Taurendor. A democratic or republic oriented unit. One that is just, orderly, and balanced and made up of warriors from former units, although mostly the Sheinar rangers.

Urk Kuldar: A large tribe of wild and crazy orcs and drow who have insane fun and are fanatical about Dagorhir and have overun Taurendor and are spilling out into Aratari and other places.

Rogin: Northern stout-hearted, fun-loving barbarians who love unarmored suicide charges with lots of gusto. The rage of winter!

Wikked Tribe: A unit that is finally taking off that may soon be ruled by a happily married cheiftain and cheiftainess.

Mordarth: A once powerful unit of dark soldiers led by one of the greatest fighters of our realm that has fallen into darkness and shadow.

Rome: Overun by barbarians. Those annooying Celts!

Gadii Valoras: A brother unit to the Paladins. For the Lord!!!

Just because your fighters avoid us, doesn't mean that we have fallen into "darkness and shadow"

Re: Who is Who

1) What is the biggest Draw to your unit ?
For most new recruits, it's the realization that there's a group of people on campus who do something this awesome.
We fight for fun, rather than glory, or even victory. While we hope you become a better fighter while with us, if you insist on taking the field with a dagger and a rock, nobody will stop you. We may advise against it, but really, half the fun in Dag (for some of us) is being able to use fun weapons and not actually dying.
2) What is the best quality of your unit that noone knows about?
We get along with pretty much everyone, so joining us makes you no enemies.
3) What is your theme?
We were originally going to be a group of Germanic mercenaries in the wake of the Roman withdrawal, but that was a few incarnations ago. Currently, we're becoming a unit based around different tribes or nationalities based on what dorm you live in, and developing a culture around it.
4) Why would you join your unit?
To have fun fighting.
5) What is the biggest drawback to your unit?
Being a college-based unit, size fluctuates dramatically depending on cirricular and extra-cirricular activities of the members.
6) What is the defining moment of your group's history so far?
I'd say taking part in the Maethodoron Invasion of 2009.
7) What do you look for most in a new recruit?
Willingness to work towards their own improvement, and a lack of interest in the use of flails. (Mostly joking.)
8) Who is your biggest in character rival?
We don't really have a rival... Like I said, we get along with pretty much everyone. Some days we fight against the Order of Tauren, other days we fight against Urk Kuldar. Depends on the troopers, the event, and sometimes the time of day. We don't get paid to fight for anyone, so we tend to fight for everyone.
9) If you had to define your group in one word what would it be?
Eclectic.
10) In your own words describe the other units in the realm?

Order of Tauren - Technically proficient, masters of construction, and a source of inspiration. Very keen on victory and constantly working on improving.

Urk Kuldar - The most numerous and varied group of fighters on the field, warring with anything and everything, including their bare hands. Very keen on fighting. Each other, if no other opportunity presents itself.

Mordarth - A slowly reviving group comprised of fighters equal or greater to any in the realm. Don't let their size fool you... their commander has been known to go into unit battles by himself and come out glorious.

Wikkit Tribe - I don't know their fighters, but their leaders are good friends of mine. Kaocyde is handy with a big shield, and Aislinn isn't bad with a bow.

Rogin - A very blue gang of very distinctive fighters. Known for baby coffins and heavy b*tches and guns and hardtack and healing potions and challenging Magnus to red and board. Awesome people.

Paladins - A shiny spectacle when they appear, but sadly this often leads to their downfall. What they lack in sublety they make up for in persistence.

The Khanate - Sadly, I've never met them. Their theme sounds awesome, though.
