I want to tell every one that the bylaw language was modified and they look great! I think the membership will be very happy now. Wade did a fabulous job revising them and did allot of hard work, so please thank him when you get the chance. He's working his backside off. Promise!

if the state shoot has to rotate and cant be in the same place twice in a row, then that is more than fair. if i am reading the old bylaw correctly, then thats what it does. if a rotation is established, (which that basically does) then that will take care of it. just because one region has more able-bodied people in it that can vote doesn't mean they deserve to get the state championship more than anybody else!

jcox, I like that idea too. I would like to see the rotation so that every region gets the state shoot every 5 years. This way a member that lives in one region will have a fairly local lake every 5 years. If we let the members vote on any lake in the state we could potentially have the state shoot at the same lake year in and year out, which I think would be bad for the TBA.
Of course this is simply my one opinion and this has only been discussed but that is it. There are other things we have to take care of before we can cross this bridge.

That would give us all a chance to shoot new waters,i guess,not bad idea,and meet other bowfisherman from around the state,Guess we have to go with the flow,so to speak,

membership could still vote on the lake, but it should be from a list of lakes within the specific region. i know that some regions have more members than others do, so if we are allowed to vote on any lake in the state, then the same lake could win every year. money is a big deal, and not everybody can afford to make it to tournaments. everybody should at least be able to make it once every 5 years!
