Plecostamus Roundup?
As some of you local bowfishermen know Lake Dunlap here in New Braunfels is loaded with plecostamus(suckermouth catfish). They are an invasive species and probably got started here when they outgrew the aquarium they were in and got dumped in the river. Our local paper has had several articles on these fish and their destructive habits in the past few months. The water in Dunlap is clearest from about Oct. to Mar. when there is very little boat traffic.
I am thinking about having a pleco roundup/tournament sometime in the next few months. I'm hoping TPWD will be delighted and the local paper will provide some positive publicity for bowfishermen and the TBA. This could be a lot of fun for kids.
RULES
1. $40 per boat entry
2. Any legal method permitted- shoot-em, gig-em, wrestle-em, etc. just git them in the boat.
3. No limit on number of people in the boat.
4. Plecostamus only for the count.
5. Start at 8 pm-- count at 1 am.
Payout
60% most plecos
40% biggest pleco
Anyone interested in this?

I should be there my new boat that I am working on hold up 8 people so I should have some room.
I have slowly been messing with it maybe I can do something before the shoot. For sure if it is at the first of the year!
I am thinking about putting an 8x8 deck on the front, that should hold a few people.
