The Postcard
The Postcard
classification: paulian
(behind the scenes image provided by Jess)
(collection of Spikosauropod)
The postcard appears briefly in The Eye and the Prime Object when Joe Miller and Howard (The Weasel) Montague visit the Sood with the picture of Eddie and Mabel. It is one of the objects in the Sood’s computerized object inventory.
The powers of the postcard, if they exist, are completely unknown.
The postcard has an abstract painting of the Sunshine Motel on the front. It presumably has the usual postcard accoutrements on the back, but the back has never been seen.
The Postcard is obviously completely fictitious. An excellent facsimile is available here.

Re: The Postcard
Is there any image from show or production that shows the back of the postcard?
also I found a reference to standard vintage postcards having the dimensions of 3.5 by 5.5

Re: The Postcard
The back we show here is speculative. We have no actual information on the back.
The 3.5 by 5.5 checks out with vintage postcards I have collected.

Re: The Postcard
I don't think that these items that were made for the production are 100% correct....no one ever even thought that these props would fall under such delicious scrutiny! it thrills me to no end that new questions and ideas come up!

Re: The Postcard
It is as Jess says. Chris has indicated many times that no one ever expected the object props to come under the scrutiny we have subjected them to. In a way, that makes it more fun, because the correct answer is seldom obvious. We have learned things about the making of these props that is really surprising.
