Re: The Wall Painting

I made an interlibrary loan request. My impression is that libraries simply do not have it.

The Library of Congress would, of course.

We may have to buy it. It IS for sale.

Re: The Wall Painting

I post with new hope.

An artist friend of mine has agreed to give the painting a whirl. She's going to try to copy the image as best she can for me for a nominal fee. She's one of the best painters i know, and have complete faith in her reproduction.

I'd like to supply her with as much source material as possible, and the best images of the painting as possible. If anyone has anything other than what is posted here, it would help.

Also, of course i will be keeping the original copy, but will be making prints for all of you. i'm not going to jump the gun yet and take orders, just wanted to dangle that worm for you all. heheh

If she really does this, I will definitely want a print.

I can absolutely guarantee you that you already have the best image of the painting available.

Re: The Wall Painting

ok. tell me that the colors, the art style, lighting and feel of the top postcard in this auction doesn't SCREAM that the same artist did our painting.

it looks like a registration code B 86 is all that is on the front, but perhaps if someone got this, the artist name could be on the reverse, and we may have another lead on who did our painting.

Re: The Wall Painting

OK, it's going to cost $75 cdn for a 30x20 canvas painting in acrylic. I can most comfortably cover the cost on this myself, BUT if anyone wants to help with a donation, i won't say no.

It will take about 2 weeks she says, and once it's in my hands, i'll copy it and make prints. going off Walmart canada's website, a 30x20 print will cost $19 + Shipping cdn

once it's in hand i will offer the prints on an on order basis.

Those who feel up to making a donation of a few bucks will get a FREE high rez file that you can print as you see fit, as a thanx.

for those who feel like a donation for the painting, my paypal is [email protected]

I will paypal over $25 when I get home. Don’t let me forget.

Please verify the proportions of the painting. I realize you were just estimating cost, but I have it at something more like 25 to 30, not 20 to 30.

Re: The Wall Painting

your right. i went in PS again and did some dimensions and it is NOT 30x20, and not quite 30x25, but so very very closer. it doesn't change the cost of the artist. just have to get her the proper canvas.

it WILL however change the price of the prints, as i don't think walmart prints in that dimension. it changes nothing for digital files though
