History

Mars first began to be settled 2180 AD though it took until 2205 AD for the population of Mars to reach 500,000. The Giovanni were very interested in Mars from the outset and so set the Hiroshi Ito International company to start preparing the place for the Giovanni.

With Hiroshi Ito International involvement the northern ice cap was melted, by creating a Hydrogen Power Plant deep in the icecap. Within five years the northern Ice cap had melted, creating a northern ocean. Once this had been done thousands of trees were planted around the ocean to transform the atmosphere and make it breathable.

By 2250 AD the Hiroshi Ito International had managed to set up a base on the Phobos moon and had also managed to stabalise the moons decaying orbit. The couple of moon bases at this time were mainly created for trade, science and a possible base for the Giovanni. As well as the moon bases, Hiroshi Ito International had built several new large towns in the northern hemisphere Mars, which allowed Mars population to grow to 900,000 by 2260 AD.

In the year 2299 Andrew Giovanni, the leading Giovanni involved in the Giovanni movement from Earth to Mars and in Spacecraft moved to Phobos. His movement was due to the fact he felt Earth was becoming unsafe and that he wanted to prove to the Giovanni how much money and power space could bring to the clan.

Camarilla interest for Mars was growing rapidly and soon a lot of Camarilla wealth was going into providing a base on Deimos.

With the breakout of war between the Garou tribes and the Cainite clans in 2360 AD, the Camarilla stepped up its evacuation of Earth and fled to Mars.

The Giovanni which was less effected by the war mainly due to its financial face to the mortals, the fact it never sided with any side and with the huge amounts of money they were making from smuggling vampires off Earth they were soon able to pump loads of resources into Mars.

With the Giovanni and the Camarilla both moving to Mars, friction soon grew between the two groups. With the Camarilla blaming the Giovanni for smuggling the Sabbat of off Earth violence soon broke out though usually only on a small scale.

By 2400 AD the Giovanni and the Camarilla had more or less divided Mars in half, with the Giovanni occupying the north and the Camarilla in the south. With both clans roughly the same in power neither side wanted a war.

Industry

Manufacturing is very extensive on Mars though it is beginning to decline. Nearly all of Giovanni, Hiroshi Ito International, Camarilla and a fair size of Thompson Garrett Industries spacecraft building are centered on Mars and its two moons.

Starting 2360 AD many of Earths large corporations started locating offices on Mars, mainly in the Giovanni sector.

Mars is also a place of space trade. Many cargo ships pass through Mars orbit each day.

2480 AD the Giovanni was nearly fully prepared for a war, with fortified cities, a fast high tech space fleet and some elite foot troops.

The Camarilla was not far behind with a fleet of large heavily armored spacecraft and a large number of foot troops.

2500AD With Demy and the rest of the crew of The Crimson Nebula the Giovanni were able to surprise the Camarilla and the Crimson Nebula took the Camarillas Flag Spacecraft in Mars Orbit and did extensive damage to the spacecraft.

With this victory the Giovanni pushed forward across the surface of Mars and won several large early victories against the Camarilla. The Camarilla in response sent its large infantry army to force the Giovanni back. The Camarilla was able to retake the land they had lost but lost a large chunk of their army due to the Giovanni’s better-equipped and trained though smaller army. Both sides are now looking for a factor, which will swing the war in their favor.

In one of the those most maddest attacks to date, Duck Monkerson, Demortia and Anthony infiltrated a well defended Camarilla supply base. After they blew up a ammo and blood storage building their cover was blown. With the Camarilla army after them they were still able to fight off tanks and foot soldiers. In the Camarilla central office they found out many Camarilla elders where in a hotel, Demy posed as a entertainment girl and got into the hotel and set off a explosive device. While exiting the building Demy was shot to pieces and the caught in the exploding hotel.
Duck and Ant managed to escape and return back to base.

Andrew Giovanni, Anderson one of Demys men and Anthony returned to the Camarilla base in the hope of finding Dem. The base was full of Camarilla soldiers and the three of them had several hard fights before they found Dem in Old man Bills house.

The destruction of Camarilla supplies, death of its elders and most of the Camarilla company assigned to defend the base being killed was to say the least a major set back in the Camarilla war effort. The Giovanni wasted no time and launched an offensive against the Camarilla. The poorly equipped Camarilla soldiers stood no chance and soon large sections of the Camarilla were falling back to safer position. The only message coming out of the Camarilla on Mars was the declaration that the Crimson Corp were war criminals.
