History:

Venus was the second planet to achieve Terraforming after Mars, and while not as famous it have grown to become quite important. Due to the high solar eneregy input it is most suitable for food production. and it currently exports 65% of the overal food consumption in the Solar system. This of course is a valuable comodity that must be controled and so Venus have long been in the hands of large scale corporations. And through the centuries manny conflicts have been fought between them for domination of it. Theese still continue to this day and more are sure to come.

Industry:

As mentioned the primary industry is food production. The local population produce the raw materials, vegetables, fruit, meat and such wich is then loaded onto freighters and taken to the orbital plants for processing and then transported all over the solar system.

Culture:

The Venusian is a xenophoebic people due to all the wars that have been fought by off worlders for control over them, wars where they often get caught in the middle. They live a very primitive life on the giant plantations compared to that on other worlds. The most developed areas on the planet is the few corporate controled star ports. There are a wide amount of rumours floating around about the primitive Venusians and they are often looked down upon. Most of theese rumours are untrue though and they are a proud people with a rich clan based culture. (also Garou presence on Venus is signifigant for obvious reasons. And the planet are slipping more and more under the influence of Gaia)

Recent Events:

Lately a growing dissence have been seen from the Venusian population and terrorist actions against corporate assets have become a major consern. The corporate responce to theese threats was at first to ship in large amounts of millitary personell to maintain order. It quickly became evident however how poorly suited they where to operate in such an enviroment as casualties mounted. This seems to have led to an increased unity between the corporations as Venusian islation would be catastrophic for them. And lately they have gone so far as to orbital bombardment to destroy areas of dissidence. This is however a very costly tactic as those areas are also producers and the dissidence is spreading. Also there have been odd reports of beast attacks from all over the planet. Even a few ships have seemingly fell to it. Could this be a case of mass psychosis?
